This place is a small slice of heaven. The best coffee and the best croqueta sandwich I've had in a long time. We need to keep this place a secret. Shhhhh!
They have relaxed the no cell, no electronics rule..but still great coffee and food. I think the surprise on a 93 degree day of a rich and frosty cup of gazpacho is the best! Cold watermelon juice and a sandwich and you hang out reading art books....an escape within the city from the city...one if my favorite spots.
Fantastic little cafe oasis in the heart of Coral Gables. The main dining area was not open but window service and outside self sitting was available. Attendant at the window was pleasant and helped navigate the menu and available substitutions for the drinks and food orders. Ordered a Iced Tea that was delicious for this hot day and the sandwiches were flavorful, warm and fresh. Got a bad of plantain chips too. Ties everything together. Unique spot worth checking out.
Great food, friendly staff, good value. La Patría is the best Cuban sandwich in town in a neighborhood setting.

Entirely unassuming at 1315 Ponce de Leon, Tinta y Café has been serving South Florida for over a decade, their extensive list of Sandwiches and Cuban snacks complimenting Coffee amidst artistic environs.
In many ways the antithesis of Versailles or much of Little Havana, a Coral Gables address and counterculture aesthetic drawing a largely local crowd, it was from an outside window that four items were requested, staff’s impatience not only visible but audibly stated from a woman to her colleague as the menu was perused.
Low priced and quick service, money exchanged and dining outdoors within ten minutes, Tinta y Café’s Croquetta are well-regarded for good reason, the blend of Meat and Cheese creamy inside golden Breading while the Pastry surrounding both Empanadas and Pastelito are par for the course.
Not rooted in traditional nomenclature or “authenticity,” everything from Nutella to Prosciutto available between pressed slices of Bread, those seeking the closest approximation to a proper Cubano will find such labeled “Patria Sandwich,” the addition of Mortadella to the mix adding an extra layer of flavor while Mustard and Pickles were light and complimentary without being overwhelming.

The sandwiches are delicious!! The staff was charming and attentive. A great place to catch up with some friends. I will definitely be coming back again!
I'm an avid coffee drinker and I promise you I just had the BEST tasting espresso at Tinta y Cafe! Their signature sandwiches are also amazing but i'm telling you, if you love coffee as much as I do, you have to stop by even for just a lil espresso if you're in a hurry, trust! They do get a little busy during their lunch rush, but it's 100% worth the wait regardless of what you ordered. Everything is delicious. Truly a great place and an even better staff, thank you for everything Franklin!!
I love this place! The sandwiches are all fantastic, the service is good. I totally recommend the PLT! Usually when I get a sandwich with a good amount of veggies it's not very good, but the PLT was delicious. I totally recommend this place!!
