Sometimes the best kept secrets are right under your nose! We’ve lived in Columbus for years and when the building first went up for this we never went by. One day after church our grandparents said let’s go to Eddies, I was beyond pleased with the portion flavor and presentation!
I've dined at Eddy's twice a month for the last two years. Now, if you are looking for atmosphere and a cozy environment, look else where. If you are looking for a taste bud satisfying, down-home dining experience, visit Eddy's. By definition and appearance, Eddy's is a Diner / Dive; however, the food is 1st Rate. If you are looking for the best Chicken Wings, Grits and Fried Fish, Scrabble Eggs in Columbus then stop in. I'm not a waffle or pancake guy, but my wife and daughter swear by Eddy's rendition. I'm meeting my buddy Bob there at 8:00 AM for our twice monthly pow-wow, hope to see you. This is not a paid endorsement, I'm just a local pastor who likes shining the light on people who provide uncommon service. I'll keep praying about the atmosphere.

Tootie's Chicken & Waffles. Another day another new restaurant to review. This time it is Tootie’s Chicken and Waffles located at 1808 E. Livingston Ave, Columbus Ohio. Cute atmosphere, clean, and servers were polite and friendly. Food was good. I would give it a B. I had the Chicken and Waffles with a side of eggs, and my son had the Waffle Big Breakfast which came with 2 sausages (he had turkey sausage), eggs with cheese, and potatoes. Oh and a glass of orange juice. Total bill came to $23 and some change. The one call out I would make about Tooties is the service was a little slow. If you are not in a hurry and just want to chill and take in the vibe then stay and eat. If you are in a hurry, call ahead for takeout. Seating is limited. All in all I would put Tootsies on your Must Try List.
Amazinggggg food! Everything was DELICIOUS. Coffee was some of the best I’ve drank... I cannot lie. I loved our server, well-mannered and personable. Their fish is delectable😍 Well seasoned and cooked oerfectly. Pancakes delicious, turkey bacon nice snd crispy and eggs pretty good as well. Fries were pretty okay. I will definitely be back.
Great little place ...the food was good...place could have been a little cleaner .The chicken was a little salty but over all a good deal on a Wednesdsay happy hour chicken and waffles. For $7.99 but they don't advertise when happy hour starts at 1pm !! The fried Okra was awesome and a big portion ...give this place a try...well worth the trip

The food was amazing. They made a small mistake with my order and quickly fixed the problem. They were very pleasant and easy to talk to. I have told multiple people about this place in less than an hour. I purchased chicken, fish, waffles, okra, and fries and everything was cooked to perfection!!! I highly recommend you go try them out.
The food was GREAT!! There was an older lady who is close to the owners that was sitting there. She was so sweet and polite and I enjoyed my meal with her stories. The lady that took my order was really nice as well. I like this spot its very good. Worth the visit and price of meal was not even expensive
Loved my fish, cheese eggs, and okra. Grits needed wk but the seasoning , and portions on everything else along with the service was excellent. I could over look the grits and just not order them again.definetly will eat here again. Wish they were 24hrs.
I ordered 50 chicken wings for a family dinner. They were cooked perfectly and were so good. They do need a better sign out front though. I drove past the place at least twice before I saw it. That's the only reason they get 4 stars.
I never got to go to this place because it closes at 4pm. But I was off today and decided to try it out. The common order from all these chicken places around here, 4 wings, 2pcs fish, fries and a drink. I got that with perch. I wasn't expecting anything too different from the other chicken places. But, I was so incredibly shocked and excited while eating this meal. The chicken was seasoned perfectly, crispy not too greasy. The perch was amazing on it's own and dipped in the hot sauce they give you. The fries were okay also, weren't old tasting and I picked the order up and drove back home. And they gave me a paper straw in a foam cup haha, but hey they tried. I will definitely say this is the best chicken and fish around here and all these other shops should be happy since they're only open to 4pm.
Best service ever! And the food is just as great. It's very warm and cozy and family owned. The portions are very generous and it's not bad at all for the price. Always hot and welcomed. I love eddy's I will be back.
