My friend and I stumbled upon this place by accident. We were attending a summit at the nearby theater and broke for lunch. We were heading to a close by well-known taco spot, but the line was so long. A lot of us had the same idea, apparently. We decided to venture a little further out, aimlessly walking down High street and I noticed the sign and no wait. Bingo! Upon walking in, we saw the order kiosks and intuitively started entering our orders, thinking it might’ve been like a ghost kitchen or something. After placing the order, we followed voices to where we assumed people were waiting on their food. But boom, it was a whole restaurant and an order line/Cashier. Saw a pick up shelf, and was a bit confused whether they’d call us, or if we had to go to the Cashier to let them know we were here. We took our seats and shortly after, a friendly staff member came with our food trays. Perfect.
I ordered a flour Street Taco and another but can’t recall the name, believe it was pork. Both were actually good. Nothing to really write home about, was average, but very tasty tacos. The pico was delicious, and fresh - enjoyed that. If I’m on that side of downtown, and the other taco place has a line - I’d definitely give this another try.
I would have to agree with some of my fellow Yelp Elite fam that I was confused about where to park and how or where to order. I would say that this location is very conveniently located for those who work downtown or are staying in one of the hotels in the area. For someone like myself who does not live or work in the area, I would not see myself making the trip due to having to find parking. Once I was able to park, I was not sure if I were to go to the ordering kiosk or the front counter. I purchased food in addition to what we received for this event. I went ahead and placed the order, then went to the counter to check in. The staff was very friendly and I ordered the pork belly tacos and a quesadilla. Both were super tasty and offered fresh toppings like onions and cilantro. If I or someone I knew was in the area looking for a bite to eat I would highly recommend this spot.
I got the Birria tacos, and my man got the steak street tacos. 1st time Birria....so good.
First time eating here, ordered curbside. I loved it. We ordered steak supreme hard, and soft shell. I am a well done type of meat eater, so if you are too. I recommend requesting them well done. That’s the only reason they didn’t receive 5 star’s. We also ordered chicken supreme, and chicken regular both soft shell. These were my favorite. I would have more than likely loved them on hard shell. That one hard shell steak taco made me want to go back and ordered them in chicken. Family ate all the hard shells before I could get pictures.
Received Fresh Delicious Foods to Our Likings Again! Not just a convenient location, But A Clean & Hospitable place to enjoy our time there! Even secured a forgotten purse for us and contacted where we were going back to! Wonderful People!
I eat a lot of Mexican food/tacos and I’ve tried Baja shrimp tacos from many restaurants.. these are by far the most authentic and flavorful I’ve had and I don’t think I’ll be ordering these from anywhere else. I also ask for hot salsa at every Mexican restaurant I go to, and this recipe is perfect. Excellent flavor and the perfect amount of heat! So good
I tried the Sopes for lunch. I chose one Barbacoa and one Cinco seasoned ground beef. They are priced at $7.00 and you get (2) of these mini corn bowls with your choice of protein and they are filled with beans topped with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, cilantro, and queso fresco. I did the mild salsa and medium roasted tomatillo salsa on the side (all fresh made). The mild salsa was a little thin and was not as chunky as I would have thought. I had a bag of chips with Queso and a refreshing fountain diet coke (always a good choice).
Look for that Huntington sign with the arched canopy.
I would recommend grabbing a bite here. I am thinking Street Tacos for my next visit.
To be fair, I ordered via GrubHub as an OSU student. I'm a San Diego, CA native, grew up in the barrio, and taquerias are one of the things I miss the most about home. Cinco's steak tacos absolutely remind me of the street tacos I'd get from Humbertos taqueria in my old neighborhood. Marinade is on point, guacamole is very fresh, and reminds me of both my neighborhood and the shops we'd visit in Tijuana. Thanks for the little piece of home!
Tried today for first time.I ordered Stacked enchiladas. Very good! Flavorful and fresh. Moderately busy with diners seated and pickup orders. Line was long but orders went by pretty fast. They were friendly and got my order correct [I'm assuming haha]
Clean facility and good smells. Will try tacos next time or a bowl. Will be returning soon. Reasonably prices as well.
Best tacos we've had in Columbus after moving here from Tucson. Exactly what we were looking for. It's a taco place, Karen, not a swanky steakhouse--sheesh!
