So delicious! We got the Gneral Tso's with steamed rice, Orange Chicken spicy with Lo Mein, the crabmeat cream cheese wontons an scallion pancakes. Every bit of it was absolutely incredible! We had take out, it was still warm when we got home and the portions are huge! Will be returning!
Best Sichuan food in Cbus. The former head chef at Fortune came over this spring when Hong Kong Buffet converted to Hong Kong House. The real Sichuan dishes are even better than those he used to prepare at Fortune. Alas, the menu is all in Chinese. I've been there several times and have now translated the menu (with family & friends' help) for those of us who know Chinese dishes but don't read Chinese. Will post it, once I verify it with the restaurant.
Bring Back the Hong Kong Buffet. The Hong Kong House is so disappointing, on so many levels. The food quality is poor, which doesn't make sense because their buffet was consistently good. The service is really amateurish and irritatingly inept. The ambience although new, is nothing to "write home about". All in all, the management would do well to bring back the buffet, because the Hong Kong House isn't worth the time or money.
You have got to be kidding me. All these one review folks telling you the food was bad as was the service.
Yep it is a buffet, keep my glass full and I am good. Lunch time is the best.....No need to eat dinner, they offer a grill as well....pick your ingredients and take them to get cooked....a nice addition to a standard buffet.
I eat here at least monthly.....
As far as Chinese buffets go this is the only place I've been to more than once. No the food is not as good as I'm used to in San Francisco, but it is pretty good. Variety is great (salt & pepper crab is awesome) As for some of the comments I have seen about the wait staff not speaking English.... GET OVER IT! Personally i
Damn good price for lunch buffet!. It's a buffet, not a 5 star restaurant. All I need at a buffet is for my water glass to be filled once in a while, which it is here. We've had consistently good food here for an unbeatable price. I had to stop coming here since it's just an invitation to gorge oneself. I don't typically get sushi at a Chinese restaurant, so don't be surprised that it doesn't look that appetizing. Go to Akai Hana if you want sushi. The dumplings, the soups, the variety of dishes - totally worth checking out for lunch.
Certainly one of the beat Chinese buffets in Columbus. Not your typical buffet with bought-in items. Everything is original to Hong Kong. Like most buffets, you are better off to go during peak periods to ensure freshness. Has added value of a selection of basic sushi items as well as a grill salad selection and atypical appetizers items.
Super nice interior, good service, and tasty food. Just know that a lot of dishes that sound vegetarian might actually have meat, like the tofu hot pot--be sure to ask in advance! Also know that they add 15% tip automatically.
Incredible food. We had spring rolls, egg rolls, wonton soup, and duck. All was delicious. We also had the pork buns and flat noodles. So good.
This was the best Chinese food I've had in Columbus. Try the black funghi and pork soup bun appetizers. Griddle shrimp and lamb with cumin mains are delish!
First off this is no longer a buffet disappointing I know but on the other hand it’s a fabulous restaurant super quick food delicious definitely upped their game on the food little pricey though might return might not depends
Order off the traditional chinese menu and the food is very good.
Beautiful restaurant! Wonderful food! So many great dishes my favorite was the eggplant ! So good!
I used to come here when it was a buffet style restaurant and it was one of the best in town. Now that they have transitioned to a sit-down style restaurant, I actually like them more. They have a menu for American customers, but they pride themselves in serving a variety of authentic Chinese dishes and a large portion of their regular customers are Chinese-American. The food is delicious and the staff is always very courteous. Love this place.
Absolutely delicious! They have a seasonal/limited time menu before you enter the restaurant on the white board. Make sure you check that out. I ordered a delectable rabbit dish that was amazing!
I am Taiwanese, so I am familiar with what is supposed to be authentic Chinese food. This is the only Chinese restaurant in Columbus that finally reaches my standard. They do have a nice mix of American Chinese food as well. 10/10 would recommend to friends and come back.
Absolutely amazing! I have never had a bad meal here and the food is unique and delicious. Order from the Szechuan menu! Most other East Asian food places don't even come close. As a small note, not everyone working there speaks great English but a little patience goes a long way and everyone is always polite. Bring friends so you can try all kinds of dishes!
Food is always fresh and promptly served. Servers are very knowledgeable about the extensive menu - they pay attention to what your preferences are and then make recommendations about other dishes that can be paired with what you frequently order. My favorite Chinese restaurant in Columbus.
