It is the best Thai/ Asian food I’ve been able to get my hands on in Columbus.. but it is certainly not the best!
We ordered red curry and pad lad nat noodles. Everything was delicious but very oily. They even had oil added to their white jasmine rice on the side! The red curry was very tasty and perfectly balanced without overdoing any of the herbs, which I really enjoyed. But it Looks like they use some kind of thickener/ powder in their curries, which takes away from the perfect flavor profile. We ordered yellow curry to take with us and asked them to make it with less oil, which they obliged. But reheated, it did not taste good - was very sweet and lacked any flavor.
Service was super friendly. I hope they improve quality on their food and little. I’ll definitely be going back. Remember to ask them to use less oil!
Crispy sesame chicken: it was very crispy indeed. They do a different style of sesame chicken here, the chicken is in slices rather than chunks.
Crispy rice soup: love the crispy rice, it was a little salty for me
Pan fried noodles: a lot of vegetables and meat, a little too salty for me also
Chicken wraps: surprisingly on the sweet side
Bangkok fish: delicious
Went there for the first time yesterday. My dinner was beautiful, fresh, lots of seafood and spicy. I liked that they don't up charge for fried rice. Staff was attentive. Pricing wasn't too bad either. Will be back.
This was only my second time eating at Chai Thai, but both times the food was delicious and service staff did a nice job. This time I had the Thai dumplings and the moo shu pork. Yum.
We dined in for lunch during the week, ordering crab rangoon, pad thai, and General Tsos. The appetizer came out very quickly. Our server was meticulous, placing our dishes and arranging them on the table like a fine restaurant. Our entrees were hot and very delicious! Everything was outstanding and I would give the service six stars if I could!
Good food and ok service. Simple and quick. Will try again but something more authentic Thai. 😊
I had an excellent meal of ma la string beans at the restaurant near Gahanna. The staff were very friendly and efficient. I’d prefer to be able to rate the service as 4.5 instead of just 4; the only issue was that I was never offered a drink refill from the initial pour until my meal was nearly finished. I will certainly be a return customer.
WONDERFUL experience - service was amazingly quick: within 5 minutes of ordering, our server started bringing out our appetizers. And within 15 minutes of ordering, all the food was brought out and set upon the table! And we ordered quite a bit of food, so it was even more impressive.
We had:
Crab rangoons
Salt and pepper calamari
Beef satay with peanut sauce and vinegared cucumber
Seafood basil
House lo mein
General Tso's chicken
Spicy pot of gold
Tiramisu
Every single dish was excellent in quality and execution (though the General Tso's was a tiny bit too crunchy for my Dad's taste), and good portions for lunch, more than enough. Calamari tasted fresh, was cooked exactly the right amount so it wasn't too chewy, and the batter was light. My spicy pot of gold was incredibly flavorful, and the beef satay was well-seasoned, perfectly grilled, and tasty.
Lunch portions average around $9-10, and it is an excellent value. Eight thumbs up from all the diners at our table!
Great place to visit if you want tasty asian food!
They have similarities food from the country where i came. I tried satay (chicken skewers), green curry (my dad in law ordered this), red curry, fried rice and tom yum. That was a lot of food and their portions also big. Will definitely come back.
Allways excellent food and service, never had a bad meal!
