Decent place. Food was good and portions were plenty. House margaritas were satisfying. Service was friendly and prompt. Reasonable prices.
Only thing I would change... the lighting in that place. Visited at night and they have cool light, almost felt like florescent light, doesn't go well with the Mexican decor and it made out eyes sore.

This place is amazing! From the beautiful carved art in the furniture to the service and of course the delicious food. The salsa bar was great. And I ordered the birria tacos with a side of rice and beans and let me tell you, I have not been as satisfied with a meal than this in a while. Everything about the food was perfect.

Good Tacos! The salsas were especially good. I would avoid any alcoholic beverages, they're marked up a bit more than usual. The food was good though, definitely going back to try other things on the menu.
100% the best Tex Mex in the springs. We’ve tried plenty while out here and been disappointed by something each time. The salsa is perfect with multiple spice options for those that want heat. Chili replenish was the perfect size and had a green chili sauce that competes with the best of them. The biggest surprise for us though was the molcajete. It was huge, and had the best flavor we’ve tasted in one so far. The rice and beans were mid but it doesn’t detract from everything else being flavored perfectly. I’m done testing new places this is the spot.
Fresh and delicious. The menudo was perfect, and the seafood molcajete was surprisingly delicious. Prompt, friendly service in a nicely-decorated location with reasonable prices. The salsa bar is a thing of beauty, too.
We came on a Friday night, it was very busy so that was a good sign that the food is good! We ordered the Carne Asada Fries, which is a pretty large portion, I would even say too much for just two people. It was a good appetizer. I ordered the Birria Tacos, which were good but not as flavorful as I was hoping, but it definitely hit the spot and cured my craving. My husband ordered a smothered Shredded Beef Burrito, he was very satisfied with his and filled him all the way up. I ordered an Agua Fresca de Pina, SO GOOD but my husbands Horchata was even better! We will definitely go back to try out some more menu items.
We are vacationing in the area. El Rey was recommended from some local friends. This is a hole in the wall place but decorated nicely. We had some tacos that came with broth to dip in. Very good. Shells were a bit over fried. Chile Relleno was good. They do have a salsa bar - it was good but could of used some cilantro. Also could use some little bowls instead of the tiny plastic cups. Food was very good and very authentic. Edwardo was great at serving. Smiled the whole time and was very patient with us ordering. Totally recommend it. Not on the tourist path!
Very authentic, delicious! You got to try the Posole and the taste is savory and delicious. They bring the food to the table piping hot and very presentable. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere has a home like feel just like the food. This is now our favorite and go to Mexican food restaurant 😋
Carne asada tacos on flour tortillas... They were good but nothing compares to AZ Mexican food ❤️💯🤷 520,AZ! Oh btw, that drank is bomb 💣!!
Don't tell anyone else, but this might be the Mexican food restaurant you've been looking for. The tacos were cooked well and had tons of flavor. They had a salsa bar for your chips with several styles and flavors. Beer was in the bottle and I didn't notice any drafts. Great food in a smallish restaurant. We'll be back
