Amazing Food and Vintage Atmosphere. When you step into this shop it's like you are stepping back in time. Very vintage atmosphere, kitschy and cute.
It is a very popular delicatessen in Cleveland, TN. Gardner's Market is now under new management, who are no strangers to food/restaurant management. The new owners are friendly and nice. This delicatessen is VERY BUSY and small. If you go during the lunch rush, prepare to wait a while for your food. If you want to save time, you can call ahead. Did I mention the food is INCREDIBLE! Not pre-made. But if you love great food and a cozy, old-timey atmosphere, you won't mind waiting for several minutes. They also have several gluten free items and other European goodies.

Always my first choice!. I LOVE the gardeners market, I moved to Cleveland about 4 years ago and at the time I was living on canned veggies and rice. When someone was kind enough to buy me a sandwich one day, the smoked turkey sub was fantastic and actually a decent value when you realize you're getting more than 6". When I started dating my boyfriend this sort of became a spot for us because we're both healthy eaters and the food is delicious as well as pretty healthy. I'm now a vegetarian and still have plenty of options. Bill bakes most of the bread products and the apples in his muffins are even fresh picked from his fathers orchard. I could go on and on about how much I love this place. Also, yes, Bill and Billy are a bit quirky but they will always explain why they give the answers they give if you ask them, and I'm sure that if treated rudely that they would reply rudely, Just because they're their to serve you doesn't excuse you from using manners. One of the perks of being a small business owner is you have the ability to hold people to some sort of ethical standard and if their jerks to you, you can make make the decision to send them elsewhere rather than be treated like a doormat. Golden rule apply everywhere.
PS the Prince Vladimear tea in FABULOUS! It comes in it's own little pot and is served with a cookie or cake :) ( I know I botched the spelling on that)
Big City Market in Small Town. Fresh Fresh Homemade Sandwiches and foods-nothing premade about these like one person wrote. Talk to any of the locals here in Cleveland and they love this place. The Owners are super nice and both have a great sense of humor. They get to know their customers. You feel like your at a corner market in a bigger city. Cleveland is fortunate to have such a place exceptially in the heart of Downtown.
Best place for lunch in Cleveland. It's always crowded so come around 11AM or 1PM when the lunch crowd has gone. I've ate here dozens of times and the chicken bistro is my favorite. The food is always fresh & Bill even grows sprouts and other vegetables right there at the store. The place is run by Bill & his family, who all have been incredibly nice every time I go in.
Yummy. Some people just don't understand humor and mistake it for rudeness. I am pretty sure that I was interacting with the owner and I found him funny not rude at all.
The food was good and judging from the line and constant flow of people through the door I'm not the only one that thinks so. Paper menus would be nice for newbies who don't know what's on a Santa Fe because once you make it to the register to order you don't want to take the time to ask..."and what's on this one". I got a giant chocolate chunk cookie for desert and while it was good it was a bit on the cakey side for my liking. I will be sure to go back if I find myself in Cleveland at lunch time.
My favorite lunch in Cleveland. Great sandwiches and best hot dogs I've ever had. Fruit filled muffins are wonderful.
Excellent Lunch Spot. The Gardner's Market is the best place to grab lunch in Cleveland! They have a fresh, home made, healthy variety sandwiches to choose from. They have the best cookies I have ever tasted--home made, and very soft and chewy! They also sell gourmet foods such as teas, nostalgic candies, muffin mixes, jellies, etc. Definitely worth checking out.

Best kept secret in town!!! I’ve been coming here since I went to Lee University 4 years ago! Amazing place, fantastic sandwiches with an artisan feel. The blackberry lemonade is the bomb!

An excellent family owned deli/market! I love eating there and supporting a local business.
They have done a great job during this time offering their delicious sandwiches, sides and desserts without sacrificing quality as well as being concerned with the health and safety of their customers.
While I miss the atmosphere of the dining area, I look forward to the walk over and choosing my breakfast or lunch. The efficiency of placing and recieving my order amazes me.

Whhhaaaaat!! This place is amazing! I have a problem with gluten so I ordered a lettuce wrap and that was one of the best sandwiches I've had in my whole life, I'm not exaggerating. Seriously, I couldn't stop gushing about it. The lettuce was so good, the meat was so good, all of the vegetables and the bean sprouts and the cheese came together to create such an amazing flavor and I felt great about eating it. We were thinking about heading into Chattanooga to eat but I'm so glad we stopped here, it was totally worth it and such a great value. I am absolutely bringing my family back here next time.
I'm obsessed with this place. The sandwiches are perfectly portioned, cooked, and prepared. The quality is excellent. The lemonade is perfect.
Everyone is wearing masks and paying close attention to detail. I want to try every thing on the menu, I can't see a single one being bad.
