This has been our favorite place from the first time we were their years ago. When you think it couldnt get any better, boom, they add a taco bar! Love this place!
I've been looking for some good authentic Mexican in the Cleveland area for a while and I think I've found a contender. I decided on the Speedy Gonzalez lunch special that includes a taco, enchilada, beans and Mexican rice. I ordered it with chicken and you can definitely tell the meat is marinated and juicy. My wife ordered the fajita salad and all I can say is it looked amazing! I was very happy to find a place that gives you the right flavors and gigs service. The portions are BIG so you won't leave here hungry, at all. Overall, this is our new goto place for Mexican.
I have been to El Jalapeño a few times recently and it conjures up memories of the Mexican restaurants I remember in the 1980s, before Latin food exploded on the scene. The restaurant is full of murals of rustic rural life in Mexico and are enjoyable to look at. There is seating for larger groups. The menu is big, and it is reasonably priced with daily lunch and dinner specials. The food is good, but not memorable; although, the salsa they serve with the chips was very good.
Today was my first visit, but it will not be my last! What a great dining experience. The service was excellent. My food was hot, and the flavor was truly authentic. I loved the music and decor, which added ambiance to the atmosphere and experience. I highly recommend El Jalapeños if you love and enjoy authentic Mexican food.
Went for a lunch, the service was fast and friendly. We had the fish and shrimp tacos Mexican style. Everything had great flavor and very delicious. The side of beans and rice is plate full. House chips and salsa was flavorful and hotter salsa available if needed.
I eat here often. My BFF and I went to have dinner. The margaritas are strong and so much food we took our leftovers home. Great customer service and speedy food arrival not to mention it's a chill vibe there.
All food was freshly prepared and hot. ordered 2 chicken and 2 pork tamales, the appetizer chicken quesadilla, side of rice (should have got 2) & 6 wings. It came with chips salsa and sour cream and the best queso sauce I’ve ever had. Spent $36 dollars for 2 people and have 2 meals left. At 9$ a person I will definitely be back. Quite possibly the most flavorful authentic Mexican meal I’ve had. This place is a solid 5 stars.
Generous portions, amazing staff, very friendly! The atmosphere is great… clean bathrooms too! All in all I will definitely be returning. This was our first visit but most did not the last one. Muchas Gracias!
Good food, great customer service didn’t get my server name because one was not given to me by her just a hi welcome good customer service tho. Free parking great atmosphere will definitely visit again and recommend to others

Awesome decor and delicious food! Generous portions! After tip, we spent $50 even for 2 people, but we didn't drink alcohol. Very impressed with service. Will definitely eat there again!
