Friends have been telling me how awesome Watami is for awhile now. Finally had the opportunity to visit last week and it great!
I will admit upfront I am not a huge sushi person so I was initially hesitant to visit as I just wasn't sure what to expect. I am happy to say that I found plenty to eat and like during my visit. The variety of options gave me plenty of choices. I was a little overwhelmed initially as nothing is actually labeled on the plates. You have a menu with all options and you are trying to compare that to what is on the belt as it whisks by.
Once I started being able to better identify the various dishes, we all got into a rhythm and it was great. Our group of 6 ended up eating around 65 total plates overall. We had a giant stack of plates in the center of our table.
It's a place I would absolutely visit again in the future.
Great sushi spot. One my favorites. You pick various plates off the conveyor belt and based on the color of the plate determines the price. You can order directly off the menu if you don’t see items coming around the conveyor belt. If you finish and you have 15 plates the server will give you a coin to get a prize from the machines at the front of the restaurant. Will definitely keep coming back.
Probably the most authentic Japanese Revolving Sushi experience that I've found outside of Japan. They do a phenomenal job with the experience and menu offerings. The rolls were great, the tuna sushi was fresh and delicious, the tamago was authentic. The staff was available to help you order more of anything that was not immediately available on the conveyor. Highly recommended, I'll definitely be going back again!
This a pretty great place. The food is fantastic with so many options from vegetarian to the different fish and octopus you can have here. Plenty comes around the conveyor belt which is also pretty neat. If you order something special it comes up top on a train straight to your table which is pretty awesome. The service there is great and prompt.
A revolving sushi bar?!? Heck yeah! Honestly, I’ve never heard of a revolving sushi bar so the fam and I gave it a try. Grab a seat and start picking out the dishes you want. The plates are color coded by price and type of sushi. We loved the concept and the plates stacked up. 15 plates get you a prize token for the kids, pretty sure we had well over 30. Fun experience!
What a fun place to enjoy sushi and such. Everything is so fresh and I love sitting where we can watch them prepare the plates. New this trip was the special order monorail that runs above to conveyor belt to deliver special orders directly. Lady Gaga Roll is a favorite and the edemame spring rolls were a new delicious treat!
This place was such a fun experience! As we were seated the employee explained the rules / expectations / etiquette of eating at this location. Everything tasted delicious. Our group had a great time, and all the prices were reasonable.
The Thai tea was also amazing here! we will definitely be back when we’re in the area :-)
The only negative I would have to say is that our drinks were empty for a while when we were eating. But it was also very busy when we were there so the employees were running around for everyone.
A friend recommended this place for a date night. So I decided to take my husband for his birthday (+ our oldest kid -- age 10). The revolving sushi bar is a really cool experience. My ten year old ate SO many new-to-him things! Everything was delicious. My husband wanted to try the octopus ball things, but we never saw them on the conveyor belt. The waitress brought him over a plate of them when he asked (pictured on the yellow plate). Overall, an incredible dining experience. We will be back!

Absolutely delicious! We got in here for about the last 20 minutes til closing. The staff here was awesome even at closing time. We stopped at a museum today that told us about this place. The conveyor might of been slim pickens but the three of us got exactly what we wanted. Rachel was amazing! It is hard to find a place that doesn't have an attitude this close to closing. They even went ahead and filled my to-go order for another bowl of Ramen with pork. My husband's was so delicious, me and the little man got one for later. The entire place was clean right down to the bathrooms. A very pleasant place even the hand soap had a wonderful scent.
Overall the experience made this place unique. Similar to sushi go rounds in Asian countries the sushi is made at one end of the conveyor belt and moves along the room. Additionally, there's a little game for each 15 plates per receipt, you gain a free token to win a mystery prize. The sushi quality is mediocre but still fresh ingredients. The wait staff are super friendly and can order freshly made rolls or dishes from the chefs through them.
