My wife and I went here this Saturday for the first time and we had a blast. The staff was funny and the food was good.

I've probably driven by Charlie's Dog House Diner at least 1,000 times. Located on the corner of Brookpark Road and Broadview Road in Cleveland ( headed into Parma ), the exterior of Charlie's can't be missed. It literally resembles a dog house, perched on the corner and just beckoning you in. I think what kept us away for so long is the fact that it is teeny tiny, with very little seating. There are only one or two small tables, and the rest is counter seating. We happen to hit it at an odd time on Saturday for breakfast, so we easily found a spot at the counter. Now, I thought that they would only have your basic breakfast offerings, but I was wrong. The menu was actually pretty lengthy, including dishes like burritos, corned beef hash, eggs Benedict, biscuits and gravy, several omelets, and then specials like three different skillets and a country fried steak. I was immediately impressed at what was coming out of the small kitchen. I decided on the Ashlee Burrito with eggs, home fri

A small intimate space, Charlie's is the real deal. An authentic gem that still delivers a great diner experience, good breakfast food with cheerful service. The corn beef hash is simply excellent - maybe the best in years of diners. The eggs and sausage are standard fare delivered quickly and with a hugely friendly touch. Honestly, at the counter I felt like I had been coming for years, they were so nice. I'd come back anytime - and I think there are a few who do so every day. It is quirky and credible but it is also great, with plenty of parking and even if you have to take the highway briefly as we did from downtown... it was ten minutes and worth every moment of the drive - and that would be true if it was twice as far. Drive and pat yourself on the back for doing it right.

Awesome little local restaurant. This diner is small but is a great experience if you are in Cleveland, Ohio. It is very easy to find using Google Maps. The food here is great and the service is excellent. The best part is having the local experience in a one of a kind establishment. There is plenty of free parking in a large lot surrounding the building.

Really classic diner, great food and service. Found it from DDD. Ordered the breakfast skillet and it was perfect, good eggs and well done veggies. Would love to return for the hot dogs

This is a cute little local diner that I stumbled upon. I’m a huge supporter of private family owned businesses and Charlie’s Dog House Diner is becoming one of my favorites. In fact, I’ve been here 3 times already! First of all, it has a very friendly atmosphere. You can sit and talk to random strangers if you so choose, or just people watch. The servers are always friendly and chatty. The food is tasty for the price you’re paying! Overall, I would highly recommend this place!

Don't miss out on this hidden gem . The restaurant stands out right on the corner of the shopping center with its unique architecture . Seating is a little compact but it shouldn't be an issue as the regulars are very friendly . I ordered the breakfast special to go . I came in during the rush and had to wait a little bit around half an hour , but it was worth the wait . For 7.50 I enjoyed : crispy potato homefries , perfectly cooked sunny side up eggs --The yoke was runny without undercooking the white part --, sausage , and thick slices of fresh rye toast . The staff seem to really enjoy being there . Any tourist in the area put this on your bucket list .

100% American diner! Loved it! Food was killer and the staff was amazing! I personally love this part of "going out" to eat. The little mom and pop places are the foundation of every city in the United States. Will be back every chance I get!

Charlie's Doghouse Diner is an American classic and well worth the trip to experience the feel of a real American diner. Service was excellent and a nice selection of home cooked meals.

Delicious breakfast, but come with patience. Long wait even though we were the only 2 people there for a while. Ashlee burrito was enormous and smothered in sausage gravy. Southern skillet was topped with the biggest eggs we've ever seen. The portions are very generous and all food was hot and well seasoned. Only reason for 4 stars was speed of service, otherwise wonderful breakfast!

This place is always great. Meals under 5 dollars, decent coffee, friendly staff and they have Ohio lottery scratch offs. If I had someone visiting from outside the country I would take them here!

For years I’ve driven by and even as a kid called it the coke building but this morning I stopped in for breakfast. And I wish I had sooner for sure, very small place 12-15 people max! Coming in here is definitely like stepping back in time, 1 table that I saw and the rest is bar/counter seating. The menu has a nice selection and prices are fair, I ordered the Ashlee burrito and I was very good packed full of all the breakfast essentials lol. Over all great spot I definitely see why they’ve been there for as long as they have. Oh yeah CASH ONLY.
