Showed up out the blue for a bday party and boy the staff was super accommodating, hard working friendly staff! Prices phenomenal for downtown and they got the tunes. The land!
This place is the best in Cleveland! Service was awesome and my friends and I had an absolute blast with the local patrons! Reasonable drink prices for real people who want to go out in Cleveland and not have to remortgage their homes! Definitely going back next time we are in town!
How can you not love this place?. By far the cheapest drinks downtown so I love to go here before games.. The food is actually better than I expected - they didn't have any vegetarian stuff on the menu but made me a veggie sandwich when asked, which was awesome. It's really not inviting looking but the staff is so nice and I love that it's never THAT crowded.
Was in Cleveland this past weekend for a wedding reception. After reading reviews and seeing the prices, decided it was worth a try. Can't go wrong with the corned beef and chips. The draft and a shot deal is also a must do. Dark dingy place with some sketchy locals but that's what makes the place. The bartender is great. She is super friendly and fun. Give it a try.
Bang for your buck.... Had the best sandwich I've had in some time here today. Arrived early enough to get the daily special, any sandwich except the corned beef served with chips, a pickle spear and a soft drink all for $5.99. At the advice of the extremely friendly and helpful bar maid I ordered the pastramie sandwich. I added swiss cheese and horseradish sauce and mustard. It came with shredded lettuce and tomato. It was warm, the cheese melted to perfection and had just the roght ratio of fat to meat for a moist, lucious and tasty sandwich. The cafe / bar is paneled in dark wood and has the 1980 prices for drinks. Well drinks are $2.00, a draft is $1.35 (the tall is $2.00), domestic bottled beer is $2.25 and imports were $3.25. The most expensive sandwich is the corned beef at $8.95.In case there are skeptics out there I am also a fan of Slyman's and this compares favorably to that fine establishment.
Love this place. Great food for cheap, and a shot and a beer special for three bucks. Brought a buddy from home (boston)here and he kept saying what an awesome spot it was. Sandwiches are awesome and great service. You pay cash per round of drinks each round. Old school place, love it. Great people working there.
Great food. Excellent food at a good price. Friendly service too!
The place is great.. Good food, great prices, friendly help, and from what I recently researched, almost forty years in business. I will always come back to the "O" as it is commonly called by the locals. I eat and drink there many times a week and want to say that it fits me perfectly. They know my name as well as all the rest of the regulars and that in itself takes the edge off my day. Get the King Corned Beef, it is out of this world, and the 22 oz "tall one". Big beer. That combo is what half the bar eats and drinks, order that and you will fit right in!
Best. Sandwich. Ever.. Out to Cleveland on Business this week and I stumbled across this fantastic cafe after gettings a quick tour from Cleveland's Executive of small business Growth which was completely unexpected and totally awesome.
I ordered the Roast Beef Sandwich which was prepared to perfection by an entertaining gentleman named Rich. I absolutely love sandwiches and have enjoyed them all over the country but this one by far takes first prize. Exceptional meat, perfect amount of condiments, delicious bread, quality produce, and best of all, a fair price.
If you are in the area I highly recommend this place for a quick, comfortable meal and a lovely smile from Rich's lady help behind the counter whose name I am sorry that I did not catch.
Outstanding corned beef sandwich! And make sure to enjoy a 22 oz draft beer for $2 all day long
Bar tender, Bones, was fantastic!!!! Best long island I have ever had! Not only was this bar super cheap, they were super friendly and it was close to the hotel and arena. I would definitely recommend this bar and I will be back in the future! I had a great time.
To start, yum. My second point: yum indeed. This is a dive bar in the best way possible with a killer corned beef sandwich. An unexpected gem in downtown CLE.
Best bar downtown. Staff is super professional and consistent. Even on busy days with only 1 or 2 people behind the bar, I've hardly had to wait for a drink. Jen is amazing. The food is great. The music is always fun and nostalgic. I luv the O.
Kind of a rundown dive bar, but with the cheapest drinks in town. We enjoyed the place and atmosphere except for the guy trying to pick up my daughter - we could have done without him. I had a Long Island Ice Tea for $4.50 - you aren't going to find that anywhere else downtown. Good place to stop in before or after an event.
I enjoy going there. Drinks are reasonable for downtown Cleveland cheaper than all the places I've gone to. Service was decent, people were nice and laid back (It's a Tuesday mind you. Lol). Been going there since the late 80's a few changes but okay for the most part.
Had to wait awhile for drinks but the food was AMAZING please try the corn beef
Small downtown bar with a very friendly staff. Not sure if they serve food or not but the drinks are substantial! Excellent value and a very good time. This was my second visit, I'll definitely go there again.
Excellent atmosphere, bartender Jenn is the best in Cleveland! Drinks are excellent, corned beef is tasty, and everything about this place is Good vibes!! Jukebox loaded with great ol' school music!
A small more like bar that serves a limited menu then a cafe in my opinion. The server was friendly and prices were good. Had the chicken salad sandwich which was good.
Cheap booze, best jukebox in Cleveland, amazing atmosphere.
