I've always gotten great food and huge portions. They always seem to have a line of people waiting too. Staff is cordial and I have always had a positive experience. Love their orange chicken!
Decent takeout. It's a short walk from my house, so I've been going there for the past several years.
The prices are good for the portions. Except for the lunches after they upped the price, I prefer to spend a little more to get something without a lot of rice.
The quality is decent (sometimes it can get bad), it's hard to order on the phone sometimes, the place isn't the cleanest (but then again, you're in Pricehill).
Tasty. The food at China Island isn't bad at all. Their chicken wings are always over cooked instead of golden as the other excellent Chinese food neighborhood restaurant on Glenway.China lsland isn't better tasting either. But, China Island is the closes to this part of West PriceHill for those who aren't driving. I believe you will enjoy their food just not their chicken wings so much.
Quick Satisfaction. This "mom & pop" take out Chinese Food is very satisfying. The portions are absolutely GARGANTUAN for the price. It isn't always quick, as you wait your turn while 1 or 2 people prepare your food, but it IS ALWAYS HOT. It's a great place to pop in and grab something, if you don't feel like cooking.
Exceptional. Never had a bad meal ever.
Food is ALWAYS hot & fresh, cooked in front of me. Nice friendly employees. Never have had a problem here, except for once when my order was mixed up from another take-out customer waiting on their food. The gentleman that placed the orders & running the register, had walked away to get something and another employee handed out the take-out orders.
Always makes my food with my special requests, like no onion or not spicy/hot. Prices are reasonable & not too expensive, average for a Chinese restaurant, and actually cheaper then other Chinese restaurants I've visited. But even though it's the closest Chinese restaurant to me & only Chinese restaurant in my neighborhood, I prefer their food over others in a 5-10 mile radius or nearby neighborhoods to me.
The food is good, the portions are big and the prices are fair . . . The building itself is a dump . . . don't eat in. It is NOT dirty . . . just a dump. And although I embrace diversity, they should have someone there who speaks English to take orders, etc. A lot of the people who say that they are rude are wrong . . . there is just a failure to communicate.
The food is always made fresh and delicious. The people who run this place are really sweet.
The amount of food you get for your money is great.

Great food! Not sure what the other guy was talking about (greasy wontons) but he must be someone who doesn't cook, just orders takeout and complains (see his other Chinese food posts).
This is a family owned business and they do relatively well given the low-income area and crappy economy. Good prices, huge portions, and (if you ask) they will customize ANYTHING! Yes, the owners teenage sons work there and sometimes are wet blankets (I would be too as a kid lol), but it doesn't take away from the price or taste. And they do not nickel & dime you like Golden City (GC knows what I mean - $1 PER PIECE of extra shrimp).... You ask for extra you get what you pay the $1 for (once, I got 12 extra instead of 5!). Anywhoo, felt I needed to give a real review from someone who has been a patron for years. They deserve it.
Have been eating here for years. Their food is great and the people are very nice. They make the best moo goo gai pan I've ever had anywhere.
Food always fast and hot. Great quality and has drive thru option. If you know what you want, call ahead of time and pick up.
This place doesn't look as if they serve good food out of it bc of it's location, but trust me they have some of the best Chinese food in the city. Their prices are a little lower than most of the other Chinese restaurants also. Family owned and operated. Good food and service.
Good, cheap chinese food. The staff is friendly too. Go in for their lunch specials and ended up with 4 good size meals with soup for $22. Can't beat that.
Great food for price. Nice people run the place. Been eating there for years and always good food and good people.
