Read good reviews on Google and it was about 1/2 mile from where we were staying. It's a small establishment, but has a very comfortable atmosphere. Definitely feels like all the people besides us were locals. Good variety of menu items typical of Italian--calzones, lasagna, pizzas, salads. But they did have Chicago style deep dish pies. We definitely wanted to try a deep dish pie. While not as good as a Chicago pie, it was still very good for what it was. We ordered wings as well which were very good. Our server was working the whole restaurant by himself with a hostess doubling as a busser. It was fairly steady. Dishes were not cleared away and the only time they stopped by the table was to take our order, to bring our food and bring the check. Our server was definitely nice but overworked. I think I saw the manager come out look around and walk to the back again. We didn't really care that much but I'm not sure I'd come regularly if it was like that consistently. Food was very good.
We stopped here for lunch on a whim and boy were we glad we did. The pizzas and lasagna we had were incredibly good. I don't know if this is a "hidden gem", but it's a gem for sure. The Chicago style deep dish is every bit as good as anything I had in Chicago. Will definitely come back, well worth the drive.
Nice little restaurant. The service was good, and my buddy and I enjoyed the food. The deep dish pizza was interesting that it had a crispy crust. It was good and held up well. I'm used to a more pan style. It was kind of like a deep dish with a thin crust. It definitely worked. Added the sesame seeds per everyone's recommendations, and it was a nice addition. Also, to note, the glasses are huge, and they had very large straws, which made washing it all down pretty easy. My buddy and I got the larger (18"?) Deep dish, and each had half of our side to take home. We probably could have split the small and been just right for 2.
Mios is one of my favorite restaurants to have good Italian food. Great, attentive service, friendly staff. Try the Chicken Florentine Alfredo.! So good!
We started with the garlic bread, which was delicious, especially the dipping sauce had a fantastic flavor to it. I ordered a small with ham and bacon and must say the ham was amazing. Will definitely be going back to try out some of their other food! Also the service was really good, the waitress was very attentive which is always a plus
Exceptional Lasagna! Love the sesame seed pizza crust, the creamy garlic dressing, the goat cheese fritters, the mozzarella cheese sticks and the calzones. Basically, it's all delicious!
I forgot to leave this when it happened. A few days ago, I ordered a pizza, and when I got home, I realized it was made incorrectly. I called back, and although they were less than 10 minutes from closing, they remade the pizza. Was one of the best pizzas I've ever had.
Had a large carryout order of pizzas and salads. Realized I forgot to order one of the pizzas. They put a rush on it and I was out the door in 15 minutes. Great staff, friendly employees and always fabulous food. I'll keep coming back!
Great pizza and great service. Easily my favorite pizza in the Cincinnati area.
