We absolutely love this restaurant! We just moved to the neighborhood and checked it out based on reviews- always fresh and delicious food prepared with lots of heart and flavor. The staff is beyond friendly. We will be regulars for the foreseeable future!
Excellent, traditional Mexican food and the service is exceptional! I loved it and my co-workers loved it as well. My friends said that even though they can get the menu items somewhere, this was definitely the best that they have had! Thanks!
A great little find on our way home from a visit to the University of Cincinnati. Food was excellent, large portions. Great service. Lighting, tables, etc. has a nice diner vibe to it (wish I got some pics of it), setting it apart from other Mexican restaurants I’ve been in.

Excellent spot for authentic Mexican food in Ohio. Service was welcoming, with plenty of choices in the menu. I particularly enjoyed their lunch menu, which runs 7 days a week until 3pm and gives additional value for their already affordable offerings.
We had a group of 12, and the waiters kept the chips and salsa flowing as we dug into fajitas, tacos, taco salads, nachos, and quesadillas. Everything was delicious with ample portions!
Pro tip: take the bottom, less oily part of the spicier salsa add it to their regular salsa for a perfect kick in every bite!
Excellent Food
The beef Tacos are very good as the meat is very nicely seasoned and has a hint of that smokey adobo.
Salsa they give you comes out with warm chips.
You have to have the GRILL DIP; we had it with chicken and it was so good. It's like lightly seasoned cheese and chicken cooked in a cast-iron skillet finished of with a lil onion and tomato atop... comes with some delicious fresh tortillas and then they bring more chips for it.
We did Combos to try a little bit of everything, BUT I had to try the the CHALUPA it's very good but like most places it's the same shell as a tostada with your protein choice, lettuce, tomatoes and generous dollop of guacamole. Most places differentiate a tostada by toppings now days because the only difference is usually how the shell is shaped under it... so it's no big deal unless you're really looking for that fresh masa shell instead of a tostada style shell. Either way it's a very good item. The burritos are great and seasoned well with a nice red sauce attop that is not thick and appears made by them.
My big test for Mexican food places is this (rice and beans) alot of the time I go places and you taste that it's bland with a unfiltered city water taste that I hate.
LA JAIBA HAS GREAT RICE AND REFRIED BEANS. The rice that nice stick together texture with vegetables in it and The Refried beans are so well seasoned and not super thick. So the beans moisten each spoonful of rice where they meet on the Plate and it is excellent.
They have a great Chili Releno that us very tender and one of the best items we had.
The enchilada is a solid item with good flavor lightly covered with sauce and cheese.
They have a good Margherita too.
They more importantly serve coke products "the beverage served in 70% of Mexicos restaurants" 🇲🇽
This place is small but has a nice sized patio too.
The only draw back....guys during peak hours turn of the door chime as its so loud lol.
Food was great, portions were generous, and the employees were friendly. This (assuming) family-run Mexican restaurant checked all the boxes! This is not a super fancy high end $30+ meal restaurant, just good quality authentic meals at a reasonable price. Will come back again!
Amazing! This little place just jumped up to #1 as my favorite for Mexican cuisine. Food was fabulous! Come hungry bc the portions are huge. Staff was very friendly and food came out very quick.
This is a great little family owned and run restaurant. I came here because of other reviews and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent and the people were nice. I will definitely be back in the future.
We were visiting Cincy and just going to grab takeout. The place was cute and quiet so we decided to eat in. The salsa and chips were so fresh. The food was seasoned so well I had to compliment them in person! I never had seasoned Mexican food! Portions are large. My Husband couldn't even finish. We will definitely be back!
This was hands-down the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to on this side of the Rio Grande! Expansive menu! The flavor of the salsa was a hint spicy and delicious. My entree was cooked to perfection and so good! Excellent service. Clean restaurant. Ample parking. The prices were extremely reasonable!
Best Mexican restaurant in the area. Authentic food, friendly people and lovely atmosphere. Simplicity is always beautiful. Excellent asada tacos 🌮.. their food worths every penny 💲
Food and service was outstanding. I would highly recommend LA Jaiba. Don't let the location fool you this is some of the best and freshest Mexican food I have had anywhere.
