The Phoenix

The Phoenix was wonderful to work with from start to finish! We worked with the Phoenix for about a year and a half and they were with us every step of the way. When we had questions about the contract, they were open to negotiating certain terms and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable during COVID uncertainty. When our original event manager left the company, the transition to our new manager, Lilly, was seamless. Lilly made sure that every detail of the event was taken care of and was always available to help us with planning or logistic questions. When we needed recommendations, she was knowledgable and very well-connected. On the day of our actual event, the staff at the Phoenix were exceptional. They made sure that we had everything we needed at all times- someone came by to check on us at least once every 10 minutes. From what my guests shared, this was a similar experience at all tables. The food was exceptional - we've had MANY compliments and requests for our catering information. Having a "one stop shop" venue for our wedding took all of the stress out of the day and allowed us to be focused on the celebration. The Phoenix takes care of the layout, catering, and bar service. They have additional options for access to the bridal suite and for shuttle services. On our wedding day, it was particularly warm outside and they were very accommodating in letting us do our first look and many pictures all over the venue so that we could limit our time outside. I am happily recommending The Phoenix to all of my friends getting married and will continue to sing their praises!

This venue is perfect for a romantic, classic wedding! I fell in love with the Phoenix when I first saw the breathtaking marble staircase. We had our ceremony and reception on the 3rd floor in the ballroom and it was absolutely stunning. The venue is gorgeous and can accommodate a large group easily and spaciously. The Phoenix provided all food and alcohol and it was worth every penny! It was important to us that we have an open bar and the Phoenix was able to provide everything we wanted! As for the food- delicious! Many of our guests commented on how good the food was and how impressed they were compared to other weddings they have been to. Everything from the salads, to the entrees, and every detail in between exceeded our expectations. The wait staff was also excellent and quick to serve the food and clear the plates. The presentation was exquisite and even if you are not thinking of The Phoenix for your venue, you should definitely consider them for catering! Aside from the beautiful venue and awesome catering, the planning staff was beyond helpful and accommodating! From the very first visit to following up after the wedding, Abby did not miss a thing and helped plan and coordinate the entire event. The Phoenix truly is a Cincinnati gem!

I cannot recommend the Phoenix enough. Our wedding was absolutely perfect and they did an amazing job from beginning to end. And the food was incredible! Several guests told us it was the best wedding food they'd ever had.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Phoenix, from start to finish. To us, the professionalism and organization was just as important as the food! Our initial tasting with our families was in a truly gorgeous setting, and the food was fantastic. Lilly was so accommodating, making modifications to menu items to suit our tastes. She guided us through the process of selecting glassware/flatware/plates, etc as well, giving us an itemized list of everything needed. She was there for meetings with our wedding planner and venue weeks before the wedding to make sure everything went smoothly. The day of the wedding, she was quietly orchestrating all the pieces of the catering puzzle and making sure everything went according to plan. There was one hiccup where we had paid for 4 bartenders and one bartender was unable to make it. She made it right and quickly reimbursed us for this without a question. Maybe my favorite thing she did though, was when our food came to our table, we had been making rounds to say hello to our guests and were stuck in some long conversations-- Lilly came over to let us know it was time to eat :). We were SO appreciative of her making sure we got to eat while our food was hot on our wedding day! Lilly truly went above and beyond in every respect. I cannot recommend her as a professional more highly! and DID I MENTION THE FOOD?!?!? Oh my goodness. It was to die for. I had the salmon and it was absolutely perfectly cooked, with delicious yukon gold potatoes and asparagus. My partner had the chicken and absolutely loved it. Many guests came up to me during the reception to rave about the seasonal vegetable risotto as well! Overall, we would book Phoenix again and again. If you're looking for a caterer for a special event, look no further than Phoenix and Lilly!

The Phoenix is gorgeous. I lived downtown and walked by it every day, I always wondered if the inside was as beautiful as the outside. My friends got married there last night, it absolutely is. I loved the mix of old details and new decor. The staff and food was wonderful too. The Phoenix is a perfect venue for a wedding or elegant event.
