This spot is a gem! Food is beyond delicious, service is impeccable and the management is extremely hospitable. They have amazing beers on tap, their cocktails are original and use fine ingredients and their wine selection is unreal!!!
Definitely a place to have dinner, drinks, and even BRUNCH!!!
Filipino authentic food made even better!..tried their skinny eggrolls, crispy chicken inasal, pork ribs, & turon a la mode, all so heavenly!..nice ambience and great service..definitely will be back!
Everyone each had their favorites- the fried pork belly, pork ribs, and noodles. The halo halo was great, can be easily shared amongst four. Service was kind, definitely will come back for Filipino food!
Great service, super friendly and casual but loud atmosphere — like cleaner gastropub vibes. There was a birthday party when I visited.
The food was delicious! Definitely recommend the lumpia. The portions are good for sharing or for individual.
The lechon sisig had great flavor without being too rich, the pork adobo was recommended by the owner and did not disappoint! Very tender and full of flavor. The sizzling kansi was sour and the shank was tender. Would recommend this one if you like sour tastes particularly.
We got the halo halo which was $15 , which may seem expensive at first but it is a large portion enough for 5 people and is an experience in and of itself.
My daughter and I decided to stop in and have a small meal before going to an event across the street from this restaurant. The decor was nice and inviting. We decided to sit on the patio area which was a nice setting that had a TV, candles lite and a good atmosphere. The service was prompt and friendly. The drink that I had was a pear margarita and it was tasty. We decided to split a meal of the fried chicken sandwich with fries as a side. The food was yummy and we had no complaints. The bathrooms were clean. Overall, we would recommend this place for a it's drinks, food and atmosphere.
Kubo martini 8/10 - fruity and delicious!
Red horse - 8/10 - tastes like a hoppy pilsner
Lumpias - 8/10 - better than most
Filipino noodle - 7/10 - kind of bland. Used the ghost pepper hot sauce which made it better. Would probably not order again
Halo halo 10/10 - absolutely amazing. Shaved ice, smothered (sweetened condensed?) milk, topped with jellies and ube ice cream. Dump it in a bowl and mix it all up. I wish I had more room! I will definitely order again.
What a neighborhood gem! Lovely space with a nice covered side patio, impeccable service, and great Filipino fare! Order some lumpia to start and be sure to save room for the halo halo dessert.
Kubo was fire! Our server guided us through the menu with expertise and provided us with clarity and comfortability! I’m no expert on Filipino cuisine, but the food was outstanding.
Food was amazing and the service was excellent! We were in town visiting friends and wanted to do a special feast, so we did the Kamayan "Boodle Dining" for 4. It was amazing! A variety of seafood and meats, rice, veggies and fruit. I would highly recommend. The staff were warm and friendly, which made the experience even more delightful.
The food is so good especially the Kansi. Being an Ilongo I could it’s perfect. Everything we ordered is so delicious. Highly recommended! The owner Christine is very accomodating that’s a big plus.
The food and service was wonderful! We had so many options for Filipino food in the area and only one night to experience a fraction of it, so I’m so glad I picked this restaurant! I had the lechon kawali which was phenomenal! The fats melted in my mouth and the skin was so crispy! I also got the fish balls and lumpia as appetizers and they were very nostalgic and delicious. I had a lychee martini which was strong! Then I had the halo halo for dessert, which was also very good. I cannot recommend this place enough! I think the owner spoke to us and she was incredibly welcoming. I can’t wait to come back!
Went there just this past Friday..(10/08/21) Near perfect dinning experience. The outdoor seating was spacious, comfortable, with upbeat..not loud ..energy. The egg rolls..Lumpia..I have been craving Filipino egg rolls for years. At 1st bite I knew these were the real thing. My Dad had the fried whole fish, flaky and moist..just Don't gobble it down, whole fish has bones..lol. My beef shank dish was in the best broth with lots of tender beef. The Adobe pork had a yummy sauce. We liked everything save the fried shrimp appetizer (too much breading)but, the grilled shrimp are on my to do list. Food and atmosphere were great. And I got a lemon drop shot and delicious dessert when they found out I was celebrating a birthday. Can't wait to come back to Kubo!
