LOVE going here! It's in my neighborhood, and always has amazing food, lots of variety. Great prices. The only downside is I wish they served breakfast all day, because my favorite is the cactus w/ eggs and sometimes I would like it for dinner. Any time I have friends visiting I take them here! Great place. Great quality. Great service. And the best part, they give you Dum Dum suckers after your meal! Highly recommend!
Always a pleasure to dine there. The food and service always delightful. I explore the menu and never met a dish here I didn't like.
A Chicago treasure.
I had the Huevos Poblanos Benedict, they were delicious! The menudo unfortunately was not good. The tripe had a “earthy” taste- maybe needed to be rinsed more. Other that that, the server was really great with being timely and checking in. Good music (oldie rancheras were playing) and happy environment to start off the morning.
Great tasting Mexican. We filled up on the chips/salsa and queso fundido but enjoyed some of our entree. Not disappointed to take the rest home to enjoy later :). I have to spinach enchiladas and my husband had one of the steak dishes. All so flavorful. Definitely ask for the variety of salsas they have. They provide a cucumber infused water which is ok. Anyways enjoy! 😎
Chicago’s Best Carne en su Jugo. A must try!!! Been to many places… but no one like Tio Luis’s Carne en su Jugo. It’s the tasty azada, and beans, everything from the bacon and radishes. You must try it!!! And ask for tortillas hechas a mano.

Great restaurant for Mexican food. The chicken flautas were great and service was excellent. I would recommend this establishment to anyone.
Tio Luis has a great family friendly atmosphere with fresh food and great service. Portion sizes are almost too much! Pulpo Gusto, Quesadilla, Margaritas and Micheladas were what my partner and I had. I highly recommend checking this place out! Oh and then you can go plant shopping at Raquel's right next door! They even made me fresh decaf :)
My husband had Pozole I had breakfast with cafe de hoya. Breakfast is serve up to 1pm I believe that is what the menu says. Menu has a great variety, definitely has so many beverages to choose from and cocktails drinks including micheladas. Service is great and toughtful! Very clean, the restroom too. There is a diaper change in ladies room. It is a medium size restaurant located in a common main street. Family atmosphere and very pleasant!
This is a gem in the south side that I highly recommend! Their tacos and their super quesadilla de camarones are my favorite things to order! Additionally, the salsa and chips they provide for the table (for free) are alone one of the biggest reasons to return. The flavors are so on point! The people are really sweet too. I am a regular here and I hope you become one too!
Food is absolutely delicious. Our waitress was kind, patient, and made great food reviews. I had the chicken and steak fajitas. My fiancé had the burrito. We will definitely be back. Love exploring different restaurants throughout Chicago for date night. Highly recommend, five stars!
Bravo!! I dined in today and was pleasantly surprised by everything. Great atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff, and the food (chicken tacos) was delicious and amazing! The portion sizes were very generous, too. Overall I highly recommend this place and it made my trip to Chicago today very enjoyable. 😊🙏🏼
Great authentic tacos!!! They even gave me a big cup/bowl of guacamole- which I thought was cool because other Mexican restaurants charge an arm and leg for bad guacamole… Their guacamole was very tasty! Love the patio and parking! They have alcohol! I will definitely recommend/return
