My entire family is so happy we found this place. The subs were outstanding! So many delicious food items to buy all over their market too! Can't wait to go back to try their pastas, pizza and more subs! Also a perfect place to order gift baskets 🧺. Can't wait to order for my clients as closing gifts!
A hidden gem in the neighborhood this Italian market & restaurant is a great spot! The owner James is a very friendly guy and he obliged when we requested a margarita pizza that was 10/10. The oil, seasoning, and crust were beyond delicious and the meatballs were on another level. Also ordered the house salad with balsamic and olive oil. The dressing was so flavorful. Can’t wait to go back and try different items on the menu.
Everything you order from Pisolino will be amazing - you can't go wrong! Such flavorful pasta, amazing pizza, delicious desserts, and the best deli sandwiches for lunch (they're HUGE). Since the pandemic hit, they've shifted to an Italian Market and offer lots of unique grocery items as well. If you ever have questions, don't be afraid to ask and they will steer you in the right direction to exactly what you're looking for.
Huge sandwich. $15, but essentially two meals (although i liked the meatball so went for 3/4). The meatball panini had full cloves of garlic in that beast. I really appreciate the side of sauce that you can dip your sandwich in.

I believe pizza and pasta is available after 3 or 4pm. Only sandwiches before that.
The chicken Parm was ok. The chicken could have been juicier. The breading was a little hard maybe.
Food was fantastic, more authentic Italian with good amounts of seasoning. If you're looking for American Italian keep walking. I went for lunch when they opened and the prosciutto sandwich was one of the best things I've ever eaten. The arugula was so incredibly fresh it didn't even taste bitter. Would go back any day of the week.
truly a superb addition to Chicago dining. Wonderful service and a simple elegant menu. Authentic and inspiring. Great selection of Italian Wines as well as traditional Italian cocktails. Best. Negronis. Ever.
Best Italian specialty pizza in the area. My moms birthday was celebrated very well ordering from here! Cauliflower dish was unlike anything we have had. We certainly will be back for more and share take and bake pizzas with our family who don't live in the area.

Recommend: reservations, if dining alone or with one other - eating at the bar (great socializing and Will the bartender❤), Potato Gnocchi with fonduta di asiago 👑❤👑, Spicy Sausage Orecchiette with confit garlic, shallot and pecorino❤👑❤, topped off with the Butterscotch Budino.
See photo. Ordered the cauliflower (Calvofiore Arrosto) and eggplant Parmesan appetizers, lasagne, and Giacomino pizza. Flavors were excellent! Much better Italian than what we were making at home. A couple of weeks later, we decided to come back to taste other dishes. Tried the Stonato pizza, linguini with clams, fennel orange salad, and tiramisu. Again, the flavors were spot on, ingredients fresh, and service is nice. A mixture of traditional and modern. Want good Italian? Go here.
