This place is wonderful. I love supporting small businesses. This is definitely that. You can tell they care about what comes out of their kitchen. Everything was fresh and hand made. Great find. They have Pepsi products.
Cannot say enough good things about this place. I've eaten there a number of times and each experience has been enjoyable. My biggest problem is deciding what to order - both the chicken and eggplant parmigiana are out of this world as well as the pollo lemone that is a particular favorite of mine. The portions are generous and the prices are very fair. The dining area is cute and comfortable.
PS - the dine in or carry-out pizza is really good, too
If you want fine, authentic Sicilian or Italian cuisine look no further. The quality of food and service you get here are unmatched. Definitely my favorite pizza in Chicago, and the Brushetta is outstanding as well!
Neighborhood place with a long history.
Went for GF Pizza which was very tasty.
Only comes in a 10 inch size. Our wine was outstanding. The ribs looked good as well. Very worth the trip.
My recent dining experience at Trattoria Porretta Ristorante Pizzeria and Catering in Chicago was a true culinary delight, offering an authentic taste of Italy and an inviting ambiance that made me feel like I was dining in a traditional trattoria in the heart of Italy.
Upon entering Trattoria Porretta, the warm and welcoming atmosphere immediately embraced me. The restaurant's charming decor, with rustic brick walls, Italian artwork, and soft lighting, created a cozy and inviting setting that set the stage for a memorable Italian dining experience.
The menu at Trattoria Porretta featured a wide selection of classic Italian dishes, including mouthwatering pizzas and homemade pastas. After much contemplation, I decided to try their "Margherita Pizza" and their "Fettuccine Alfredo."
They have really great deep dish pizza! The atmosphere is also very nice - it’s casual yet they have nice water glasses, candles, and table cloths. The staff is very polite and nice.
One of the best Italian restaurants I have visited in the Chicago area. Authentic delicious food, outstanding service. Very much worth the drive from the city. Will be back soon!
I have heard alot of mixed reviews about the pizza here, so I finally ordered a pie. I chose the "Sweet Heat" which is a pepperoni with spicy honey drizzled on top. Definitely more sweet than spicy. The crust complimented the sweetness very well. I could see myself dipping the crust into the spicy honey as a snack. Not my favorite pizza in the area, but I can see why they have a bunch of fans in the neighborhood. Saw a at least three delivery drivers carrying out alot of pizzas during my visit.
Always a wonderful time! The food is fresh, delicious and flavorful.
great pizza and service. Ate at the bar while I was waiting for my daughter to be done with her basketball practice. Owner was bartending. Awesome guy. Great atmosphere and service.
