I had the Margherita buffalo pizza. It tasted straight from Naples. It's so creamy and sauce is vibrant and wonderful. Don't wait for it to cool down. Eat as soon you can before it starts getting soggy. I wonder of placing the pizza on a wire rack would help
This place is a solid 4.4 stars!! The friendly bartender suggested that the margherita pizza is their best seller, so I ordered that with buffalo mozzarella. The food came out very quickly from the brick oven. It was excellent and the size of the pizza was just right! The mozzarella, sauce and basil all worked in unison on a chewy thin crust. Was a perfect compliment to a full day of rare bourbon pours and cuban cigars at a friends home!!
My wife and I love Neopolitan pizza. When ever we visit our kids in Chicago we try different Neopolitan spots. We decided to try this place last minute on a Thursday evening and the drive from downtown took 1 hour to get to the restaurant for a 7pm reservation. This was our first time at Sapori and we enjoyed it. The young lady serving us was very friendly and had a pleasant personality. We ordered a beer and a cocktail, a Caciocavallo pizza and Pizza Con la Salsiccia. My wife said her cocktail was delicious. Both pizzas were really tasty. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall and has plenty of parking available. We don’t have any complaints about this place. If we are in the area, we will stop in again. The bill was $65 not including the tip.
Second time to this family
Owned Italian restaurant, a nice neighborhood spot in Norwood Park. The restaurant was halfway busy on a Saturday evening, which was enjoyable because it wasn’t super loud- which allowed for us to have conversation at the table without shouting- an element I look for in a good place to eat! The Calamari Fritti was fresh, lightly battered and fried, not too heavy or greasy- definitely worth the price! We had that and a 12” Margarita Pizza- which was more than enough food for just us two. I will be back for the calamari and for our server Tim! He was so pleasant, attentive and professional! Great job!!
Had the Margarita pizza and bruschetta, both were great- flavorful and light. They served bread as soon as we sat down that was delicious as well. Good looking menu, lots of things sounded amazing.
This is a super restaurant !!! The pizza is awesome, the pasta is so tender, delicious! We haven't been in a better place before than this!
Of course, about the team, this is a family business! The soul is invested here, each client is treated politely, with patience! Very nice people!
Stopped in for the first time and ordered a calzone to go. Waited at the bar, which was very comfortable, and had a few Italian beers. The bartender (sorry for not remembering his name) had an awesome demeanor. The calzone was super delicious, probably the best I've ever had. Really loved the whole experience.
One of the best pizza spots in far NW Chicago, hands down. Their Neapolitan pizza can compete with the best pizza places in the city. Love their drink menus and espresso as well.
The real deal Italian/Napoletan/Neapolitan pizza. It is one of the few places that I could find around Chicago that does that at this high level. Wood burning oven, thin crust, all of the good stuff. I highly recommend the place to anyone.
We ordered 3 pizzas for takeout & all I could say is they all were outstanding. Only regret is not trying this place sooner.This is authentic Neapolitan pizza with top fresh ingredients. We tried Margherita Buffalo, Montanara & Pizza con la Nutella. I am a pizza connoisseur & have tried pizza all over the U.S. as I work for the airlines & this pizza is top notch & doesn't get any better Neapolitan wood burning brick oven pizza! I have even been to lombardi's pizza nyc multiple times which is 1st pizzeria in U.S. & in my opinion Sapori better!
All were amazing & will go back tomorrow & order again!
