Have eaten lunch here three times on visits to Chicago and have never failed to get a very tasty meal that was prepared and delivered quickly enough to enjoy my lunch hour. If you are in the vicinity, I heartily recommend lunching here.
Fun place! The turkey sandwich was great and got the pretzel bites and they were good too.. iowa had just got done playing and everyone was leaving. This is a Hawkeye bar.. service was fantastic and the food was above average for bar food. I will be back

The atmosphere in the beer garden is great and laid-back. You could directly forget that your in the middle of a big city.

You have to try their Pumpkin Snakebite! It's not on the official menu, but it's a delicious mix of pumpkin spice cider and lager.

I had my engagement party here last week and they did a great job. The owner was difficult to get a hold of but Ryan confirmed my reservation with me. They had the tables reserved for us as asked, were very generous with water and service. Our waitress was great (sorry forgot her name) and BONUS: we came on a Thursday for 1/2 price wine night. Amazing, thanks guys!
Good dive bar. Some unique mixed drink options and a friendly and helpful staff. I went to this place during the winter, but I'm sure the patio is an outstanding feature during the summer. The food is at least 2 steps above normal bar food and, if you're looking for a chill place to watch a game, this should definitely be in your top 3.
This place is awesome for lunch. Come to the city few times a week and always look For a local spot that offers good selection of drinks and affordable lunch menu. This time we found ourselves in old town. Decided to try Wells on Wells. The lunch menu had many items on it for $8.50 which included fries, waffle fries or chips. We got a pub burger with waffle fries and a turkey wrap with regular fries. Both items were big enough to share and equally delicious. Place has a full service bar with a great selection of beers and mixed drinks.
This is definitely a good place for a great lunch or after work drink.
The drinks were very good. Dinner was amazing - we started with calamari - it was awesome!!! Then our main course was buffalo chicken sliders with fries - very fresh and very good. We also had the mac and cheese - it's the best in all of Old Town!!!!

Cutest back patio with two TV to watch games. Iowa bar. Sandwiches and fries were very good. The inside looks like it has been renovated recently!
I'm usually a fan of standard bar food. So when I hear there's a place with really good bar food my expectations are a decent burger and some good appetizers.
Wells on Wells will far exceed that expectation. We went there early a few weeks back to we could get a seat in the patio area that filled up pretty quickly.
Everyone there was friendly and while the wings were just OK the chorizo stuffed potato skins were amazing (who doesn't love chorizo?) and pretzel bites were a must order (awesome sauce with them too which perfectly compliment them.)
For dinner I had the blackened chicken Caesar and it had just the right kick to make it stand out.
The refills came quick even when they were packed and for those on a budget there were a variety of drink specials that varied daily as well as some food specials throughout the beginning of the week.
Good atmosphere, good food, good time!
