This has been one of my favorite spots for Jamaican food for awhile but I really just want to shout out the young lady running the restaurant Thursday 9/22. This woman was running the bar, taking the orders, serving the orders, checking out the orders, and grabbing all the delivery orders by herself and the restaurant was packed! She worked her butt off. Thank you so much to her. I loved my food. Get my girl some help!
This was a nice surprise. You are greated with a friendly, warm welcome. The atmosphere was relaxing and the service was extremly prompt. I ordered the Jamaican Stew Meat dish which was so omg tasty, the portions were large (leftovers), and my drink (as the young ppl say) was "on point!" I definately will return to try the other menu items.
I was on a work trip in Chicago, IL and wanted some island food. My friend found this spot and I’m so glad we came!! Our server was name Delilah and she was awesome!! I got the oxtail, stewed cabbage, rice and peas, with island Mac. Needless to say I cleaned my plate! I tried my friends stew chicken and it was bomb. I can’t wait to comeback to Chicago! This is definitely a restaurant to come to.
They have an Open Mic every Wednesday night 7-close. Always some great talent that comes through! I had their burger and beer special, they put their signature sauce on the patty. Sooooo good!
If Jamaican food with a dose of music and drinks if what you are looking for, this is definitely your place. The mood of the restaurant was laid back and completely relaxed. The food was very good with lots of vegetarian choices. The drinks were good as well. A definite relaxed vibe.
Spectacular!!! The jerk chicken and goat were delicious. Love the mac n cheese! Please try the rum punch with Delilah😍
Ambiance was Nice and Relaxing.. Outside space if weather permits a plus... I Ordered the Oxtails which were Absolutely delicious.. Will definitely return .

New manangemente now, seemingly good service and female emancipation since from the servers to the Dj were women/girls except the bartender. Although I did not stay any longer, it looks like Trey is keeping up the good work done by Jay, the previous manager.
Jerked ceasar salad was huuge! Big man portions and they do it up real good. Definitely going back and would recommend. Plus it’s black owned woot woot!
