Excellent Eggs Benedict. Huge pancake variety, including potato pancakes. Ten minute waiting time for breakfast at 11 am on a Father’s Day Sunday; very impressive in this area where you can easily wait 30 to 60 min. The restaurant was packed and the waitresses were struggling to fulfill every order, so our service wasn't perfect but our food was delicious. We will definitely come back!
It's a great spot for a casual breakfast or brunch. While the service was just okay, the tasty food more than made up for it.
First time here! It was pretty good! It’s really busy when we got there but we got the table pretty fast! Overall is good! I got baked omelette! And yummy!
The Apple Pancake is just amazing, I’m visiting Chicago, and I had it twice during my visit. I just don’t like the place, the interior design is not very interesting.

I would could give it a 4.5 but have to choose between 4 and 5. The only bad thing about this place is their hash browns - very strange in terms of taste, look and the way it is cooked. They should also serve better (and stronger) coffee, but it isn’t bad. Also, food quality and service are good. Prices are also reasonable and the portions are big. All in all, I think 4 is a fair score.
Delicious! Thank you for a wonderful brunch experience. Our server, Heather, was attentive and friendly. This location and food, recommended by my Dad (my family lives nearby in Lincoln Park/Lakeview East and DePaul University areas), was so good. We were staying at The Versey Hotel, so it was so close by to walk. Thank you. May 2023 be a blessed year for all of you.
I don't know what they do to their pancakes but they're soooo good! They melt in your mouth. I have gotten a bunch of items off the menu and they were all great. My favorite is the pigs in a blanket as well as the bacon (I like how it doesn't shrivel up!). I've been to the Lincoln Park location and the location off Bellevue place.
Loved my visit to The Original Pancake House. Haven't been here in years. Ordered my most favorite breakfast. Dutch Baby with whipped butter, powered sugar and slices of fresh lemon. The lemon cuts through the richness of the butter and powered sugar. Great cup of coffee with a large glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. And a side of crisp thick bacon. Thank You! 😊
Delicious food, blackberry jam is a must try .generous portions Coffee was very good. Our server Magaley was the best!reasonable prices. Restaurant and washroom were spotless. Indoor and outdoor seating.
Pretty good Florentine Eggs Benedict! They also have a pretty full breakfast menu with lots of options that can accommodate many dietary restrictions. They have both indoor and outdoor seating space and the restaurant doesn’t get too loud or crowded. Perfect for groups or singles. Will definitely be back!
