The attention to beauty and detail, from the walls to the tables to the music to the food makes this place really exceptional- the love the owners and staff put into every aspect of the place makes it very special. The people who work there are fantastic. My server, Ashley, couldn't have been friendlier. The eggs tasted so fresh I wondered if they had been hatched in the kitchen five minutes before my arrival. The truffle potatoes were so good I took half of them home so I could extend my pleasure into another meal at another time. The fresh biscuits were like little pillows of delight, and the homemade marmalade spread over them sweetened my little pillows to perfection. This place is a dream. I'll be back.

The service was good. My 1st time there, I had walk past there thousands of time and never been there. Bryan had the Cuban Sandwich, I had the vanilla pancakes, beef and lamb sausage and cranberry juice. Never had beef and lamb sausage and it was good. Surprised that I got 4 links sausage. Normally I'm not a fan a flavor pancakes ( chocolate chips, peanut butter, etc). But the vanilla was perfect with a right amount of sweetness. Bryan sandwich looks good and I loved it. Next time I have friends in town or friends in the city, want to brunch. I will bring them here.

It is a relatively small restaurant but full of great staffs. They really treat their customers like their friends rather than just customer. The dishes they present are not some random brunch restaurant that you'll see. Love the creativity and the taste!

This is such a great place. I come here for breakfast every single time I’m in Chicago. Their breakfast has to be one of the best in town and so well prepared and delicious and BEAUTIFULLY plated and presented and executed. Our sever this time was a guy who sported perfectly fitting ripped jeans and beautiful fake nails. I wanted to bring him home as a souvenir summer boo. Such a sweet and cute man. The food was excellent as usual. We had eggs Benedict with king crab! And a scrumptious brioche French toast with a side of bacon. Everything was perfect.

This cute brunch place has relatively short wait (we arrived around 10:30am) and interesting menu. We got crab benedict, fried rice, and eggs & foie gras. It's surely tasty. The eggs & foie gras is my favorite but can use more texture. If you're looking for an affordable yet delicious option, get the fried rice. Recommend!

Still my favourite local place to eat. The service is always good, food inventive and interesting and the cocktails on point.

Just wow! First time in, during difficult staffing times, and this place has got it going on! They either have an excellent training program or get the best servers in the area or both. Our server, Rebecca, kinda new at 4 months, was an absolute pro. Fast, extremely efficient service and absolutely every item we ordered (9) was exceptional. From the pristine white over easy eggs to the thick cut bacon to the Crab Benedict’s; scrumptious. Friday 7/23/21 brunch at 11:30

This is seriously one of the best places for a brunch in the city. As a restauranteur myself, I am very critical of finding the perfect balance between good food and excellent service. Mario is an EXCEPTIONAL server. I have never been to a restaurant where the hospitality is so excellent. Thank you for the incredible experience.

Our FAVORITE, local brunch eatery! As myself and my partner are in the culinary industry, we like to eat at modern and up-to-trend spots like Mortar & Pestle. This place has your dining experience covered. Our usual server is always kind and upbeat, with extensive product knowledge. We never sit for more than a few moments without a "hey y'all!" or waters being dropped. Between the timing and general esthetic, we haven't dared try another brunch spot. Thanks for keeping us fed and happy on our off days!

Great spot for brunch. Came in after 2PM on Sunday and didn’t have to wait for seating outside. Food came in very fast, service was great and felt clean. Food itself as well as mimosas were flawless. Ordered Alaskan King Crab Benedict, Chicken Chorizo Hash, and Deviled Eggs.
