Stopped by on a whim after driving by for something else. Everyone knows the cheesecake is fantastic, and I thought their sale prices were a great deal.
The real treat is the staff, who clearly enjoy working there. The woman behind the counter gave our two year old a special treat just because. I always feel good about shopping somewhere that the employees are happy! It's infectious.
This was my first time here. I ordered the vegan Belgian Chocolate Cheesecake, which was the only vegan option they had available today. It was delicious and creamy and had good consistency. I could not tell it was vegan. My family tried the strawberry cheesecake, and they found it to be ok with a slight artificial taste, though. I would like it to have more vegan options. The place is nice. They have refrigerated chessecake options you can take home. They had a few other pastries options, but they can add a lot more. I do think I I'll be coming back.
The worlds best Chicago style cheesecake. This stuff is made on site and is delicious. A hidden gem to Chicago. Eli’s is rich and creamy. They also have some great food in the cafe. Perfect for a artisan style lunch.
Tip- they often have factory seconds/sweet imperfections for less than half price.

Went to grab a cheesecake. Taking it to family over the holidays. They had what we needed as well as great specials on other desserts. Definitely grabbed some for ourselves too. Hadn’t tried their stuff before but dang am I glad I did.
I found this place on a Facebook post for the national cheesecake day having their cheesecake slices for only $.43 cents. I live 10 minutes away and I knew I couldn’t miss this. All I can say it was delicious, will be back for sure!
We have not been here for few years, and it was good to be back. It’s an iconic place in Chicago.
There were so much to choose, and the imperfections were always good bargains. We also ordered some new cakes such as Coconut Mochi Loaf and Hummingbird Loaf.
Raguel was very attentive and helpful.
This was my first time visiting Eli's my daughter and I were there for Chicago Restaurant Week(her 1st time too) it was fun, cool 😎 and of course the cheesecake was amazing! You have to get their hot chocolate, it was dark chocolaty good!!
We go here at least a few times a year.
If you love Eli's Cheesecake, this is the place to go.
Their factory and offices are located here. They also have a retail store and a cute little cafe where you can purchase sandwiches, slices of Cheesecake, along with cookies, ice cream, and other items.
You can save money by coming here, and, in most cases get what you want for half the price in the regular stores.
We went here for their cheesecake festival in the summer, they had samples of the majority of their cheesecakes along with kids entertainment, bingo and music. They also had other items for purchase such as hamburgers and hot dogs.
Around the holidays, they have their famous dock sale when you can get even better discounts and bargains.
My only complaint about their special sales is that they run out of popular items very, very quickly.
I visited the store for the first time on 08/02/23. They had a wide selection of cheesecakes and sweets to choose from. Candis and Lian waited on me and they both were very pleasant and helpful! These ladies made my visit memorable and will be going back soon to purchase more treats and their grilled lunch on Thursdays!
The cozy style of this bakery shop provides a unique sense of family-owned restaurant. From the outside view, the building might look dilapidated, however, once I enter it. My feeling is totally changed. The decoration inside makes me feel warm and tireless. Staffs are, of course, friendly. They provide useful information about what kinds of cheesecake they have since there are a lot! You can choose either buying a piece of it or a whole box (usually kept frozen). I ordered strawberry cheesecake. I have no doubt why it becomes famous and a signature. A star deducted solely comes from my unmatched preference since I prefer a denser cheesecake (what sold here is claimed to be Chicago style). Anyway, I still buy a big box of cheesecake.
Aside note for anybody who wants to have main dishes like sandwiches (they are not served on weekend).
