We stumbled upon this place by accident while visiting Chicago. We were just walking around looking for a place to eat. The outdoor patio looked inviting and there was no wait for a table despite not having reservations. We were more than pleasantly surprised. Our waiter was fantastic and recommended everything we ordered and even weighed in on our wine selection. The staff was incredibly attentive and we never had to wait for a thing. The food and dessert was impeccable. This will be the first place we visit on our next trip to Chicago.

Highly recommend! Came here to celebrate my sister's birthday and from the moment I checked in with the host to leaving the restaurant, the service was 5 stars! Everyone is so friendly and professional- it left me in awe. Our server was amazing- knew everything about the menu and was so friendly. Timing for water service and bread was on point and everything flowed really well! They clearly know how to provide great service- and the food was absolutely delicious~ hats off to the chef. We ordered the meatballs, rigatoni with lamb sausage, and the mushroom risotto. Cocktails are refreshing and light- I ordered coming up roses and it was so refreshing. This place deserves a Michelin star already in my opinion. Thank you La Storia for a great evening and also for the olive oil cake for my sister's birthday. :) Will be sure to continue recommending and come back again!

I loved and enjoyed the food! The waiters were amazing people, some spoke Spanish, which I appreciate. Beautiful scenery with lit candles at the tables. Romantic and fancy!!😍💕

*Update to 07/23- this restaurant maintains a great experience and food. We had orecchiette allá pugliese, just divine! As always great service, we love the waiter, he is always so nice. Environment is excellent. Truly Italian experience all the way around. We sat in the back patio. **Great experience! We have been here twice, dinner and brunch. Decent prices and good food. Very distinct from other Italian restaurants. Dinner was amazing service was very good. Brunch menu is great. We asked for prosciutto side which wasn’t on the menu and we got it. So, you can always ask. Flavors are so fresh and natural. Nice to have different type of vegetables than the usual, natural bursting flavors. Thank you chef! Service and environment is great. We were very satisfied. Will definitely go back.

A great place to hang out with friends and family. They have a dim lit super looking ambience ideal for someone wanting to spend quality time. There is a bar, all in all very unique to itself. You are greeted by polite and friendly people who get into meaningful conversations with you. They have some excellent spirits and great Italian food.

Mike K is single handedly is the reason why we decided to dine at this fine establishment. He saw us reading the menu outside and gave us the entire history of the building and restaurant before he invited us in less than 30 minutes before the kitchen closed. We just had gotten to the city after a long 7 hour drive and he made us feel right at home. He even gave us a tour of the original upstairs dining area that survived the old Chicago fire. Most importantly, the food was perfectly on par for what we needed. I recommend the Fried rice balls and pork shoulder dish they have. A most when I’m the Gold Coast neighborhood

Great restaurant. Food was great here. Went for thanksgiving. Staff was very nice and accommodating. The outdoor area was nice too, only downside is that they need some music out there and a couple more heaters. The tent they have is awesome, but wind and cold air still finds its way thru. Overall, pizza was great, pasta was great too.

Great Italian traditional restaurant with a great personal touch. We sat on the patio and the night was beautiful. The wine was great, the music was perfect. We ordered the tasting chefs courses. The Tomato soup was the starter, it was great. We had whole wheat linguini. Then we finished with the chocolate mousse, the mousse was amazing, very think and very good. You can tell it was authentic and made fresh. Overall the service was good, fast and professional. The setting was cozy and wasn’t crazy busy on a Friday night around 9. Highly recommend, the chefs courses were only $28 which was super reasonable for the amount of food we ate. There is an amazing mural on the inside, must see,

Everything was delicious… very well prepared, beautifully served, and prepared quickly as well. The service was quite slow though… there was only one bartender so she was definitely overworked and drinks took a while… We’d definitely go again for the food!

Awesome restaurant! Great Italian atmosphere with excellent service. The food was amazing. The shrimps in the Cioppino were outstanding. Good for a date night but also for small groups. Large wine menu and a couple beers available. The Menu has pizza, a variety of starters pasta, seafood and meat. It was hard to decide what to eat because everything looked delicious. Can absolutely recommend this place.

Great time with friends. Slav, the restaurant manager was able to accommodate our party of 20 when we reached out earlier in the week and we had drinks and appetizers in the front room. The staff was very nice and the calamari and espresso martinis were amazing. Thanks again!
