Truly an incredible community space. Stopped by around noon on a Saturday as it was just getting going. Locals coming by, families enjoying lunch, people curling out back next to the heated beer garden/patio. There’s a shuttle to sports games. Just love a place like this and would frequent if I lived nearby. Unique sausages on the menu, great cocktails, and an extensive draft beer list…even quality gluhwein during the Christmas season! Staff are great and clearly passionate. There’s even a friendly cat on the premises! Everything you could want in a neighborhood pub.
We just had drinks and did curling. It was a great experience. You don’t get the scrub the ice, you stay on a mat and send the curling stone down the ice. Dress comfy and warm. We had a wonderful time. Only 4 can go at a time. We rented a lane back to back having 6. So the winners played the remaining two ant the end. We will be back!
The food is great. Beer is great. The atmosphere is great! Have a drink and food in the patio and see the resident cat that lives there! Super friendly cat! Bacon is his name! He jumped on the table but we didn’t mind however the staff will kindly move him if that’s not your jam. But he’s soooooo cute!
Great ambiance with an amazing patio. We ordered the 1L Stein with the Jumbo Bavarian Pretzel, the Sausage & Cheese Board and a side of fries. Everything was delicious. Service was courteous and fast.
This place is very close to the United Center and has a bus to and from the United Center for certain events. They have a large selection of alcohol and great food! I ordered the turkey bacon club. I thought it came with fries, but the sandwich is so filling that I’m glad I did not end up ordering fries. Great food and service. Indoor and outdoor seating- I also saw games in a back room as well.
Great curling experience. The curling instructor was quite helpful, teaching us all the techniques and "curling" actually means (aiming, shooting the put straight but slightly spinning it to "curl" into the "button")
Organized an office party here for the holidays 15 of us - ended up being $200 pp which is interesting including the curling which was 2 lanes for 2 hours at $275 per lane
There were many food spread options . I just got the appetizer spread , selecting :
1. Bruschetta (best one out of all, seasoned really with balsamic, basil + salt & pepper + ripe tomatoes on crispy & light toast)
2. Hummus & pita with veggies
3. Bacon bomb - fried bacon wrapped sausage
4. Sausage & cheese with roasted peppers
5. Warm bavarian pretzel
6. Fries
All in all a great experience, just a bit further out in west loop vs everything else
Went there before a concert at the United Center and felt like I was right back in Munich! What a great experience with Hofbraü Oktoberfest beer! We enjoyed a warm pretzel to start us off and then all got amazing sausages and one large order of fries for four of us. The sausages were so very tasty with great toppings and we got the chipotle mayo and garlic aioli for our fries. It was plenty of food and a very nice outdoor patio. A perfect place to go for yummy German beer and food.
Great non alcoholic options in addition to their great selection of beers. The Cheesy Brat was to die for and the fries are perfection. Incredible outdoor space no matter the weather!
My wife and I were doing some birthday bar hopping, so we didn't get the chance to try the food. On the other hand, the cocktails were delicious albeit a little on the pricier side. Good selection of beer. Speedy bartenders.
This place is unique. It’s right up my alley (cat 😹). There was a really pretty kitty. In my hometown, it would not survive 1 day, due to civil unrest. Here it has a chance to thrive. I feel really compassionate when I’m here. I like the way I look here. Thanks Kaiser Tiger.
