It was great from start to finish!!! Our waitress, Rachel, was so nice and helpful. Egg rolls, dumplings and crab Rangoon were terrific!! The orange chicken was the best I've ever eaten and the schezwan green beans were AMAZING!!! I think I could eat them everyday!! Will definitely be going back and would totally recommend Moon Palace...so go!!!
Oh P.S.....Rachel overheard me saying that I wanted to try bubble tea. She was so sweet to tell me and write down the name of Joy Yee Noodle. We stopped and got 5 different flavors of drinks. All were delicious!
Thanks Rachel from Moon Palace!!!!!
The one place I will never get tired of.....my favorite spot in chinatown....ive been coming here for years....
Great food & wonderful service.
Conveniently located in the main area of Chinatown.
Many lunch specials include soup for $8-$9. Quite a good value.
Street parking (metered) available for a couple hours or lots nearby as well.
The Best place so far for the Best authentic Chinese food! I got it to go and really appreciate how my food was packaged. Makes it very easy to reheat if necessary.
This is a really nice place to dine in. The staff might seem rude at first, but they are actually very nice and will answer any question you ask about the menu. It's a small location and the aesthetics of the restaurant are very pleasing. The food is really good and they give out generous portions as well. Nearly everyone in our group had to get a box for leftovers. 5/5 Would eat here again.
Absolutely delicious! Everything is always good, I've been been disappointed with a meal there. The wide rice noodles are my favorite!!
Really nice authentic Korean food I had a great time the service was excellent and the flavors of the food delightful.
I really enjoyed this place to eat. Service was quick. It was not full of people so I can comment on how it is during rush hour. But drinks and taking our order was quick. We ordered the hot and sour soup, General Tso's Chicken, Chicken Chow Mein, and the potstickers. Everthing was really good! But be careful because everything comes oit really hot! Blow on your food. The potstickers are really big and delicious. The chow mein was a little different than expected and was the least favorite. We expected soft noodles but this chow mein was like toasted cup o noodles with the chicken, bamboo, broccoli, and sauce on top. I wouldnt order this plate again. The General Tso's was good but I would have liked to compare it to their orange chicken.
Can't beat their location! Right in the heart of Chinatown next the the fire station. Take your Chinatown tourist picture in front of the famous entrance gateway and then a few steps to the restaurant. It shouldn't disappoint.
My hobby and I love soup dumplings but couldn't find a place in Chicago which serves them. Finally we could find Moon Palace located in China Town. They have a very tasety dumplings and I totally recommend trying them.
We tried couple other dishes and overall the quality of their food is above most of restaurants in that area.
Went here w my boyfriend Memorial Day weekend. We had Xiao Long Bao, the pan fried buns, and the special Shanghai Braised Pork Belly (pictured). The wait staff were friendly and attentive, the place was clean and not so crowded while other places had a long wait. We were not so familiar with Shanghainese food and really liked it. The Xiao Long bao was delicious, we really enjoyed the sauces that came with it, the pan fried buns had a nice crunchy bottom. The Shanghai Pork Belly was delicious! A generous portion, great sauce, bok choy and a generous side of rice. I forgot my credit card there and they were super nice and kept it safe for me. I would highly recommend this place.
I honestly think this is the best Chinese food! Everything is tasty! Usually I stick to the save the dishes but everything I try on this menu is delicious!
The food was good ...convenient parking in the area great atmosphere but the fortune cookies were very dry
