Very nice holiday ambiance and open atmosphere with a lot of candles and unique decor! Our server was really friendly and did not rush us at all! Fresh warm hot bread with crunchy crust to start the meal is always a great start to any meal. I appreciated/enjoyed the many options for salads and the cauliflower one was excellent with pistachios and roasted peppers! They gave a lot of great appetizers and entrees too. I would go back for a larger meal and to try pasta next time. Good portions and prices too, surprising for the area!

Pleasant interiors, meaty lasagna was good but could have used a touch of sugar to cut acidity, meatballs appetizer was good, Caesars salad decent. Portions worth the price
We came on a Friday afternoon and ordered from a happy hour menu. Fantastic patio and outdoors bar! First time at the new location - absolutely beautiful! It was busy but not overcrowded, very pleasant multi-generational crowd. The Nessa martini was our favorite from the Absolut happy hour menu. Happy hour menu includes 25% off shareables and pizzas, excluding seafood and fish. We ordered meatballs, eggplant parmigiano, brussel sprouts and braciole with polenta. Brussel sprouts and braciole were excellent and surprising, and would definitely order them again, meatballs and eggplant were very good as expected.
Service was great. Every staff member was pleasant and helpful. Our waiter Angel was exceptionally informative and friendly, and our busser super efficient and attentive.
We loved everything in this restaurant, from food and drinks to the ambience, great vibe. We’ll be coming back for dinner and will highly recommend Zia’s to our friends and family.
Always friendly with an immediate effort to get us seated, even without a reservation. Atmosphere is casual and comfortable. Service is impeccable, very friendly, timely.
Dishes are fantastic. Well prepped with acceptable portions.
Only saying "acceptable" as it being my fault as a hearty eater. Still hungry after finishing the dish, but more than satisfied as I walk out the door.
We threw a surprise birthday party in their upstairs private room and everything about the experience was perfect. Private bar and bathrooms for the space which comfortably fit our group of 40. Everyone from the host stand to the bartender were wonderful at making sure the surprise was successful. Lots of compliments on the quality of food which was plentiful and quite affordable for what was delivered. I highly recommend for any private parties as well as just a casual dinner any day if the week. Great addition to the neighborhood.
I've eaten here at least a dozen times. Consistently good food, nice atmosphere. Service is good, but can be slow at times. Staff is friendly, though. Decent wine collection. Nice happy hour during the week. Bloody Mary brunch. Solid local spot! We'll definitely be back.
Love this place! Amazing atmosphere, great food, amazing staff.
Love the outdoor area, including the new covered patio. I visit this place about once a week!
Great for parties too!
Fantastic traditional Italian restaurant with a modern Flair. Zia's Social has been a staple of the Edison Park neighborhood on the far Northwest side of Chicago for over 10 years. This is their new location on Northwest Highway less than 1 mile from where their previous location was. We were party of four, and every one of us found the service to be wonderful and all of our food was fantastic. We started with the Braciole and polenta braised beef rolls as an appetizer. The chicken Limone with Rosemary potatoes was outstanding. We also had their chicken parmesan, 8 finger Cavatelli pasta entree and we loved their daily special that was a roasted pear and goat cheese salad!! I highly recommend this restaurant! If you like to shop local and support local, independently owned businesses, then this is definitely the place to go! We also appreciate that on weekdays they have happy hour drinks and food specials from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. as well as a daily dinner special. Check their website for details.
Love the new Zia’s Social space! The staff was so friendly and the food was amazing. Everything is shareable so it was great to try a few different things for the table - all fantastic. Chef Joe Calabrese takes rustic Italian dishes and adds a modern twist to it which elevates the dish. Highly recommend checking out this spot!
Although it's definitely different than the Lago Vista location, this place is still good. The food tasted great and the service is impeccable! I miss a couple things from the old menu, but still an all around wonderful place to brunch and the atmosphere is wonderful!
