This is first visit to Corner Bakery in Chicago. After arrived at United States from Japan, I searched around breakfast and found this Bakery. I asked employee’s recommendations and she recommended “Anaheim Scramble “. The dish was delicious and suitable for not good condition stomach because of twelve hours flight from Japan😆. The employee’s attitude was very kind. I’d like to go there again.
Ordered Avocado bacon bowl and it was delicious. Very good flavorful americano and very reasonable price. Would recommend to friends
I love Corner Bakery!! My favorite sandwich is the Chicken Pomodori. It’s definitely my go to when ordering from here. I also love the shrimp scampi linguine as well! Don’t hesitate, try Corner Bakery!
If you’re a Panini lover, do try the CHICKEN POMODORI. It’s buttery and juicy taste is awesome. And also the Orzo soup. Jus love it.
This is an extremely well run and well tended Corner Bakery. The coffee was hot and fresh, the Bacon and Cheddar Panini was delicious, and the restaurant was very clean and tidy.
While the food was good, I feel it only appropriate to speak briefly about the manager/ supervisor on duty. This person was extremely on point and wasn’t afraid to be out front and center. She took orders, restocked the drinks fridge, and made sure everyone’s orders were correct. You can really tell that her employees see her as a leader, and that she cares about her job.
Overall this was a great dining experience and I will definitely be back soon.
The cafe is nostalgic and quaint. Love the atmosphere! Had the Uptown Turkey- so tasty. Great sandwich!
Service was quick and staff friendly.
The best service!
Ciara and her team surprised us with the best service which we ever met.
Definitely will come back!
Thank you, Ciara!
We came in for breakfast at 1pm and to be honest, the lady at the till was polite and accommodating despite breakfast no longer being available. The panini were light and tasty. The iced coffee was decent. The issues we had were that although the lady was polite and accommodating she forgot about our coffees altogether. After we ate and asked for them, she apologized and proceeded to retrieve a white square plastic bowl with a little brewed coffee inside from under a counter and poured it into our cups, then put a lid on them. I swear those cups and lids are of the worst quality I have ever come across. They leaked all the way to the table. My husband and I tried everything to get them sealed so we could leave but could not. I can’t imagine how anyone can get take out coffee from this place and not get bathed in coffee on their way to work. I have to say, not for these things that, in the great scheme of things may be insignificant for some but are quite important for other people, like myself, I’d leave 5 stars.
Great location with friendly staff. I get my lunch from this location all the time. The soups are my favorite.
I would NOT recommend their cinnamon "crunch" bagel. It did not taste fresh and it had a funny flavor. I think they tried to hide that by warming it up in the microwave making it soft and chewy, which was gross.
Update: I still like their soup, but their French bread tastes like it’s been frozen. It’s definitely not fresh.
