Went there after a day at Six flags. It was our first time and all 5 of us where happy with the food that we received. I highly recommend the Edgar sandwich the Philly cheesesteak was awesome as well. Chili was fantastic along with the chicken tenders. Wait staff was nice and took very good care of us since it was our first time. Definitely will be going back there again even tho it's a 45 min drive it will be worth it.
I had my first experience at Cheesie's after a long day at Riot Fest. My friend and I were in the neighborhood to visit Berlin. Although the restaurant was busy, staff was friendly and our food came out quickly. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant. I was so satisfied with my late night dinner that I returned for lunch the following day! I would definitely come here again and recommend it to anyone seeking a unique sandwich experience.
One of the best grilled cheeses I’ve ever had in my life. I got the Frenchie and it’s basically a baked potato grilled cheese. I loved it so much and the sour cream dip that came with it made it a 10/10. The tater tots and fried pickles were also great.
I love this place so much! My partner and I have been in twice and already feel like part of the family. This is a rare find in Chicago, I highly recommend this establishment. See you guys in a couple of days; have Spotify ready for me! :D
Try the Popper sandwich (it's jalapeño, cream cheese and sourdough... you can get it with or without bacon!), and I had the sweet potato fries. Everything was perfect :)
It's a no-brainer. Come here! They're open late to. Great sandwiches, soups and appetizers. I picked up The Melt this time around with Cheese Curds. Everything was made to order and delicious. The server was awesome and answered all our questions. I'll have to come back for their trivia nights!
Always enjoyed the sandwiches here. The Popper is my go to, but everything I've tried has been good. Service is friendly and quick.
The absolutely perfect late-night spot to go with friends after a night out. At 2am, I promise you, nothing will quite hit like a Cheesie’s grilled cheese— from the loud, crisp crunch of the bread to the warm, gooey melt of the cheese.
All the sandwiches on the menu are creative and interesting. I got the Caprese Sandwich (mozzarella, tomatoes, basil on sourdough) which comes with a delicious creamy pesto mayo dipping sauce. It was really good— piping hot, crispy, buttery, and melted perfectly. My friends tried the OG, the Mac, and the Balboa, and they each enjoyed them.
The prices are not b, but a bit high for what it is (a grilled cheese). The late-night ambience is dark, fun, and pretty loud and boisterous. The staff, from the security guard to the servers, were all really nice— quite a feat for likely having to deal with inebriated people all night. I’d be curious to try this place during normal day time hours, though I’m not sure if I would readily choose to, as my stomach was honestly also feeling a bit queasy by the time I finished my last sandwich half.

Stopped by this morning for a nice peaceful lunch. The tenderizer and tater tots go great together. Talk about a great combo. Amazing restaurant. Tater tots were crunchy and tenderizer was meaty and saucy simultaneously. The waitress was very nice that I even left a tip on table 😉. Overall, it was the best lunch I ever had
Best grilled cheese you'll ever have! Staff was super friendly , made you feel welcome:)
Had a nice time here. Our server was great and super friendly and helpful with helping us order great food. Food was good and their tomato sauce was delicious.
You're probably thinking who goes to a restaurant for a grilled cheese? But this place was actually pretty good! Ordered the caprese sandwich and had cheese curds and fried pickles. It's open late so I'm sure it makes a good stop after your drunken outings. I would leave my house again for their grilled cheeses.
