We went here for my daughter's birthday heard great things about it. I don't like sushi yet still found something great to eat the teriyaki chicken was amazing. Everyone else had the sushi and said it what is the best they ever had. Ddefinitely recommend this place five stars.
The spicy miso soup was great! Sashimi was spot on, fresh with excellent presentation. Green tea was very hot. Good, fast service and cool music. My kind of place.
Friends Sushi on Rush is a small cozy sushi restaurant. They had mirrors on the walls giving the restaurant the illusion that it is spacious which I appreciate because of how small and tight the space is in there. The sushi overall was tasty. Pricing was reasonable to me. I would recommend trying out the 23rd street roll. It was not like anything I've had before. It was so delicious that we had to order another roll before we left. The staff was very kind and attentive.
OG sushi spot in Chicago downtown before everyone opened. Had the best time eating off of this 1000 pound tuna fresh delivered from Japan ❤️

Stopped in while visiting Chicago with a friend. Pretty cool place. Interior is small but comfy with tables spaced well in a semi-futuristic white minimalist aesthetic. Sushi tasted great. Service was awesome---they checked on us frequently, refilled waters, asked if we needed anything. Would definitely go back!
First time here. Waited a little longer than expected at first. We had the seaweed salad and spicy tuna roll. Tuna was fresh and very spicy. Quaint place.

Great quality, super fast and friendly service in a cute all white interior. They have outside tables too. I had the black shrimp tempura roll and avocado roll, both with soy paper. The temperature of the rolls was perfect, something that seems overlooked by a lot of places. The tempura shrimp in the roll were super plump and cooked perfectly. I'll definitely go back. It's just a tad on the pricey side.
Consistent high quality sushi and friendly service. Always delicious. I love the Kurosawa Nigori junmai sake.

We loved everything, nothing missed the mark. The Nigiri was sublime, the torched fatty Salmon was my favorite. The Friends and Tiger Eyes Maki rolls were also great. My wife's Unagi donburi had fatty and delicious eel cuts. Our ceviche tasted fresh and writhed great with the crackers. They had run out of desserts so they must be good! Service was super friendly and fast. Would definitely come back again.
Came here randomly after the movies down the street - the service and food was great and the atmosphere was very intimate!
