Great experience!. I don't know what's with all the bad reviews about this place but none of them match my experience at all. I brought my mother here, we are both about as white as you can get and we were both treated very nicely. The lady who was presumably the owner was perhaps a bit blunt but wasn't unfriendly in any way. Our waitress, despite speaking very little English, did her best to communicate with us, was extremely warm and friendly, and checked on us repeatedly throughout our meal. We were given plenty of banchan, all of which were great. We both ordered the dolsot bibimbap which was both delicious and enough food that I got two servings of leftovers out of mine. We finished up by ordered a vietnamese coffee for desert which the waitress got for us very promptly, and it was probably the best coffee drink I've ever had. I would definitely come back, it was a really enjoyable experience all around. Definitely don't put too much stock in these other hastily written negative reviews, many of which stink of entitled xenophobic white people who didn't know what they were signing up for when ordering Korean food.
Had to see for myself - Friendly Service and good food. Saw a few reviews regarding rude service but had to find out for ourselves. We went early evening on a weekday. Greeted with a smile immediately upon entering and were treated with upbeat friendly courtesy the whole time. Started with the Kimchi Pancake appetizer - it was awesome and liked all the many condiments (complimentary) and my hot tea was unique and tasty. Entrees were good but liked the pancake the best. Want to try some of the other items in the future. Don't listen to the haters - maybe they were the ones being rude. Do yourself a favor and give this place a chance. Start with the Kimchi Pancake and hot tea!
I decided to stop into this restaurant after working out at the gym in the same shopping center. They were very nice and I had never tried Korean/Vietnamese before so I wasn't sure what to order. I asked and they recommended the Bul Go Gi. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was very good, and I was very pleased with the visit. They were very hospitable and invited me back.
I definitely recommend this restaurant, it's definitely a great experience and you'll be treated like family when you go.
It has horrible i hate it!! the girl that ''took care of us''' could even speak english... and to top it of i had to freaking pay for my the nasty food i didn't even eat.. first and last time i go there... i had the worst experience ever..
Seoul has really stepped up since they have first opened. The prices are exxtremely high, so I go when I can splurge, its never too busy. I love hot korean food and this place is the closest for us in town for me to endure it. The beef soup, the bulgogi and galbi is delish, but the Pho is not that great. Best PHO ive had in town would be at Rice Plate.
Dang good!. I love going here, the Kimchi jeon is uber good, and the bibimbap is crazy good. Also the people that run the place are very very nice.
If you love korean food, you definitely need to come here. I also had the meat mandoos i didnt take a picture of them since they were so good i ate them quick. But the food here is amazing. Staff are very sweet aswell.
Appetizer kimchi pancake came with 6 side dishes, edges crispy, pretty good. We asked for vegetarian dishes, there were two recommended without meat broth. Mushroom and tofu soup and tofu stir fry with white rice. There should be choice for spiciness, we did.not ask.for it.
Excellent dinner, great Kim chee, highly recommend if you’re staying near the airport.
Highly recommend the beef bulgogi. So flavorful, and a surprisingly hearty portion for the price (lunch menu.) The woman who greeted me when I picked up our to go order was very kind.
What a pleasant surprise! Seoul is in a pretty nondescript strip mall, but turned out to be wonderful. First thing I noticed was how clean and pleasant the restaurant is. Tastefully decorated and spotless. I had the Korean stir fry with chicken, and it was super fresh with delicate flavoring that was delicious. It came with rice and sides of kimchee, a very good bean sprout dish, seasoned pineapple, and another side that was something like teriyaki potatoes (not sure exactly what it was but it was very good). My daughter and I loved it. Definitely in a different class than most cookie cutter Chinese restaurants, with a much lighter, subtler, and fresher approach. Kind of pricey for dinner, but reasonable for lunch. Definitely look forward to returning!
The Seoul Restaurant is a very good place to hang out with the family to get some close to authentic Korean food as you can get outside of Seoul, South Korea. The only thing that would make it more traditional is sitting on the floor and cooking the food over a table grill. Don’t let the low stars fool you this place is a 5/5. Definitely coming back.
