If you have the time for interesting morning fare, try a Cuban Breakfast sandwich or a Classic Scramble. Great music and circuses. This is a gem as far as airports go!
I needed a fast dinner at the Charlotte Airport. Coconut Mango Chicken Salad: "Crispy Chicken, glazed with Bacardi Select Rum BBQ sauce and toasted coconut, tossed with mixed greens, diced red onion, carrots and diced mango. Served with tropical fruit vinaigrette and a slice of grilled Cuban bread. $10.99" I would have accepted the "mixed greens" had they just been some romaine and iceberg, but instead there's actually abundant arugula, romaine, maybe some oak leaf and more varieties I don't really need to keep straight, as well as some pieces of celery. Not bad. The mango even seemed to be fresh! The vinaigrette was nice and tossed in the right amount throughout my salad. I would've preferred a bit less fry (or even none, had the option presented itself on the menu. Though in all likelihood I could've ordered it grilled had I bothered to try). Maybe I shouldn't expect less for $11.90 (after tax, before tip) at an airport, but I guess I do. This

It seems to be only dine-in restaurant near gate Ds. Other places are grab and go, beer, or coffee shop type. Plenty of available seats. Good services. The server was attentive and friendly.
The food was okay. I got rum shrimp taco served with fries. The bill was $19 for two taco and fries. I think it is a little expensive even for airport restaurants. Shrimp was small, but they gave you many of them in one taco. Nothing really taste like specialty food. It is editable, but not specially good or anything like that.
If you sit on the high table in the middle of the restaurant, you can enjoy the natural sun light through the sky roof above.
Great food and super fast service. Our entrees were both out within 10 minutes of ordering! Friendly bartenders and super attentive. Their cocktails are pricey though and more expensive than the food itself - a house margarita in a regular 8-12 oz glass for $22 is way too much and they don't list the cocktail prices in the menu so that was a little misleading- other than that, amazing food full of flavor!
This restaurant was close to our gate and wasn’t too busy in the morning. We were seated in a decent time. Our waiter was nice. The food was good. It came out in a timely manner. I tried their pork belly breakfast tacos. The meat was tender and sweet. The combination went well together. The potatoes were just right-crispy outside and soft inside. Their toast was really good too. It was how they toasted it, the butter and the quality of the bread.
Good bar to kill time between flights. I was here twice and would come again for Crab cake sandwich (IF I have a layover - better than sitting on the gate). The cocktails are also good

Had an hour to kill between flights and decided to pop into here. I didn't read reviews - it's an airport restaurant, It's really not that serious. 🤷🏽♀️ Server was attentive, frequently checking in, I didn't have to ask for water and food came out quickly. Shrimp tacos were okay. Tons of shrimp, just a little lacking in flavor. Not sure if it was lime or from the cooked shrimp, but juice was just pouring from it. If you don't like tomatoes, skip the Pico de Gallo- it's just chopped tomatoes. The absolute highlight was the dragonberry mojito. I'm not a big drinker but this was absolutely delicious. Sweet, refreshing and definitely dangerous, it snuck up on me. Loved the open air decor. Large bar area to drink and chat it up with fellow travelers
So Bartender Carlos was so nice we don’t know what chardanay to have he let us taste a tiny bit of 3 different ones. How nice. This is our go to spot in charlotte for American Airlines layover

We had the crab cake burger & the honey rum shrimp tacos. Very good size & lots of flavor, the fries were a little bland. Our waitress was very friendly & attentive with a full dining area. Prices what you would expect for an airport restaurant, food came out quickly. Pina Colada served on the rocks not blended but was still delicious and great flavor.
