I was really impressed as a first-timer. This establishment is small but nice & clean. The front staff ladies were welcoming, attentive to evry customer and friendly. The menu offers a variety of options that are reasonably priced. I had a little wait for my carryout (chicken & fish plate), but it was well worth the wait! The food was great! 😋 Hats off to the cooks.
The only downside was that the parking was very limited. (But I arrived during the lunch hours). I was also impressed to see that they have an outside dining area. Great for nice sunny days. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Try this place first time and try to get something popular in Charlotte. And yes it was very good I will give a 4.5 but unfortunately there is not more choices.
The food is good and tasty. They were fast but it looks like a busy place. We ordered BBQ Ribs they are good and croaker fried fish. The fish was good, crunchy and tasty 😋
The cashier guy was so friendly.
We order to go but they have two tables outside. So, we decided to eat there and enjoy that beautiful weather.
Why I don’t give a 5 start because I would like the ribs little dryer in the oven, letting the BBQ be absorbed for the ribs but I understand that is the way of their recipe.
Finally you should support this kind of business that have been created a Culture of the city bringing something traditional to the public with a great service.

Best fried chicken!!!! This place is pickup only and I always call to place my order. If line busy just wait or go and order in person. The food is ALWAYS fresh I’ve never got cold or old food over the years of going here. The chicken is seasoned and fried to perfection. I also LOVE the jumbo shrimp they have so good! The sides are great the only thing I wouldn’t order again is the greens they have sugar in them. Im not a fan of sugary/sweet collards but if you are then give them a try. Poundcake is dry and also I don’t eat pork anymore but hands down they have the BEST pork chop sandwich in Charlotte!!! Have to try this place for yourself.
Recent visit-
Stopped to get a pork chop sandwich for mom she said it was great and fried perfectly. Rib snack for my nephew with a salad he loved the ribs and BBQ sauce. Salad was very fresh. Lots of items to choose from on there menu. I loved this place before going vegan.
Service is always quick and great!
There is no dine-in but you can sit outside at the picnic tables. Stop pass and check them out!

First time eating here and will most definitely return again. This place is awesome. I had a huge call in order for "Salem" over the phone. The lady that took my order had it down to a T. They was super fast getting it all together, checked the order over three times, double bagged everything and even helped bring it out to my car....YES MA'AM, that's what I'm saying!!! Oh and their cakes are the bomb! Thank you Chicken and Ribs for amazing service and delicious food!!!
This place reminds me of a soul food restaurant I used to frequent in South Carolina. There is a wait for the food but it’s DEFINITELY worth it. The chicken was fresh and hot and seasoned to perfection and their Arnold Palmers are the best. Everyone was friendly and I’ll definitely be going back.
Chicken wings are bomb! Taste just like at the house! Mac n cheese was good. Hush puppies amazing! Huge balls of hush puppies lol ya'll need some yams though! Keep serving great food!
Fried chicken is good & Mac & cheese was pretty good. I didn’t care for the bbq short ribs but everything else I’ve tried so far was pretty good
