On a whim.... It is damn nice outside today. So, on a whim I decided to look for some ice cream. I happened upon Rita's Ice Custard Happiness and I will be back. I went with your standard vanilla/chocolate twist custard. Thick, rich, fatty, and delicious. Not the most chocolate flavor ever, but the custard itself is really good, great mouth feel.
They feature a combo called "gelati" (which should be the plural of gelato) which is not gelato at all. But, it is a cleaver combination of Italian ice and custard. While I did not try it this time, I promise I will be back for this treat. Nice little find here to fill your cold cravings.
Awesome. This place is awesome, they are all over the place in PA. I like the Gelati the best, pick your flavor of Italian Ice and and the frozen custard. It is sort of like sherbet.
They close during the Winter, so call before you go.
Great service! I got a medium old fashion frozen custard and it was awesome. Flavor was great staff was great and helpful. Building was generally clean with some unfinished sections that were minor such as holes in the wall and chipped paint. You got this service thing down Rita’s!
Visited today for the first time and was very pleased. My son enjoyed a Vanilla cone which was nicely presented. His comment was it was very creamy and he would gladly come back soon. I had the sugar free Mango/Peach which was refreshing but I would go for the regular next time. The girl who helped us was very patient and friendly. I thought the store looked clean and well kept.
Always a nice experience at this location. Very friendly and quick service. I always enjoy Italian ice and am excited to see what new specials they have each time we go
We love Rita’s! The custard is so divine. This location was clean and stocked and the young ladies were very kind and helpful!
The staff was wonderful. This store is always clean. I have visited in a few years. The only thing was the custard didn't have really any flavor. It was creamy like I love but it had no sweetness.
Nice clean establishment with very friendly staff, loved the custard and Italian ice! We were offered many samples to make our choices. We stopped by late in their last hour before closing and we never felt rushed. We sat outside on their patio tables and the weather was amazing making the trip to get a cool treat after a hot day that much more special!
#1 dessert choice of summer….well year around actually. Lol. Rita’s is by far the closest thing to a guiltless, cool treat that’s pack’s extraordinary taste in a spoonfuls!! This is family favorite!!
It's ice cream. It's fine, even better if it's hot outside. I think the ratio of custard to italian ice is a bit off.

Good treats. Service is typical of a shop staffed with teenagers. Beware of the coupons and "buy one get one free". The policy is to give you the cheapest item free and deny a coupon if you forget it until the register.
