Hand a couple hours to burn and some work to do while visiting Charlotte. Wandered in for a cup of coffee and was blown away from the moment I opened the door. Fantastic Americano, amazing staff, cool minimalist vibe, an awesome coffee to beer space collab with Good Beer, and owner John Michael spoke with me for almost an hour about his passion and vision for coffee, roasting, and community. Highly recommend!
This was my one stop I made time for while in Charlotte for a brief work trip. You should make time for it too. This place is a destination. Awesome space, cool people, and godlike coffee drinks! I had the draft latte and the Mayflower Coffee Soda and they left me speechless. The Coffee Soda is legitimately the best beverage I've ever tasted and the craftsmanship rivals the best mixologists in bars or coffeeshops. Thank you, excellent people of Hex Coffee!
Hex Coffee at Camp North End is a solid spot! It’s has modern, corporate interior. Solid brews and chic ambiance. Lots of seating. A nice addition to Camp North End.
I enjoyed my first visit my chai latte was perfect. Love the creative seating. This is a great spot to catch up on some work. Plenty of charging ports for tablets and computers. Creative food menu nothing too heavy. The menu was light enough to snack on while you work without feeling sluggish from a heavy meal.
Hex has nailed the trifecta of great beverage, food, and ambiance (with a little help from camp north end's vibe itself).
I find myself here on a weekly basis, whether to meet a friend, spend an hour or two having a working coffee break, or lounging with the family outdoors.
The food has generally been awesome except my latest experience where I noticed quite a bit of blue and red food coloring just as I was finishing my yogurt. It was quite off putting and pretty much ensured I won't be getting that again.
I ordered a waffle and Iced Vanila Latte with oatmilk. If you like sweet vanilla latte, you need to ask them to add more syrup. But it has a very good flavor of coffee beans( in my opinion). And the waffle tasted a bit burnt, but overall, it was delicious. It had a downtown atmosphere, and at the same time, the small garden was so beautiful :)
It looks like a good place to hang out with your friends or studying.
The only downside from my experience is that I felt unwelcome here. Staff wasn't friendly. Made me hesitate to visit again. But I'm trying to think that anyone might have had a bad day.

I got the Yogurt& Nola. Taro yogurt with peach and nuts. It was really good. My kids liked it too :)
HEX is phenomenal! This was my first time visiting their new location and it was worth the wait. The new space is beautiful and there is a good amount of seating both indoors and outside. I ordered their oat milk latte and enjoyed every sip!
I was absolutely blown away by this coffee shop. The entire dining area is beautiful, the food presentation was amazing, and the Asian inspired food items tasted incredible. I got the special with the white miso waffles and candied chicken, others got the chicken sandwich, the taro yoghurt, and the porridge. Everyone was extremely impressed with the quality of the food and the taste of the coffee. Will be suggesting to everyone and will definitely be back.
Tried something different by ordering the spam musabi, and it was a good choice. It was delicious! The stand-out was the delicious baked goods they offer.
Great place! Their coffee is pretty smooth and vanilla latte is just perfect (not too sweet). Also, enjoyed their beans at home.
We tried their Kabocha Latte and it wasn’t too sweet! I like it over Starbucks’ pumpkin spice. The interior is nice and peaceful, service seems solid as well.
It’s a cute coffee shop in Camp North End. The menu is very very limited (according to the girl taking orders with the “why are you here?” attitude), everything is made in house that’s why the menu is limited.
I got the vanilla latte. It was amazing! The barista did a great job on flavor and presentation.
I don’t know if I will return since the girl made me feel as if I didn’t belong. If y’all know of any other good coffee spots in Camp North End, let me know!
