We celebrated here after my sons baptism today and it was a very pleasant experience!
The staff was very friendly. Our waiter took the time to ask the kids names and then remembered and used them. He brought my daughter some rice out while we waited for the hibachi cook. Our cook was fun. He made a heart out of the rice and squirted Sake in the adults mouths. The crab Rangoon & sushi was amazing too. This is about our 3rd time coming here and it’s always good. Highly recommend!
Was a nice experience and the staff were really friendly. We were greeted the moment we walked in and serviced the movement we sat down. The food was amazing and served fairly quickly. The shrimp tampora and shrimp hibachi were both amazing. Serving sizes are on the larger side, so be careful when ordering :), definitely going there again and will recommend this place.
The food was very good and was brought out fast. Was also not very expensive as both plates in my picture are about $12. Was not very crowded so the vibe was ok. When no one is in a restaurant it just feels weird. Butttt besides that really liked the place
Awe had a great time at this place. Shrimp, scallops & chicken is the best with the vegetables & fried rice. Our cook was great and he made are food perfect.

Been here multiple times. Combination of both spices and sauces makes the meal delicious and exciting :) The fun part is when the chef exhibits his cookery skills and gets to interact with everyone!
It was my first time at Japan 49. We ended up going for their lunch special's. Ok options for lunch at affordable prices. The hibachi steak was superb, tender, wasn't dry like most other places. Sushi was cool, nothing to jump around for. Service was friendly and fast.
I just tried this place for the first time with my daughter. We did hibachi. We were very happy with our food. We did chicken and steak. Both meats were good and fresh. As well as the veggies. We loved the Miso soup which is generally not my favorite but I did love theirs. It was a bit milder than other places I've had it. We had a order of veggie tempura which was nice and crispy.
Our chef was friendly and entertaining and our waiter was attentive. Portions were very generous as well. We definitely plan to come back!!!
I have only picked up and delivered food from here. However I can tell just from watching the hibachi guest that I would enjoy eating in. As far as delivery the Host stand is very clean and organized. I’m always greeted promptly.
Food is wonderful. Service is average. Atmosphere depends on what time you go and what kind of music they are playing.
