This place was worth the hype!!! Such fresh and will made seafood!! The chicken was great too!! The beans were just phenomenal. We all were very happy.
Everything was soooo good! Had a taste for fried fish and I did a quick google search for the closest restaurant from uptown. I could taste the food from the menu everything looked so good! I placed my order online and ordered the fried snapper and shrimp meal with two sides (Mac n cheese and green beans) and hush puppies. This plate tasted like my grandmother was in the kitchen. I had left overs and everything reheats very well in the over. I will definitely be back! If I could give more stars I would!
Beautiful weather so we enjoyed outside seating. Staff were very friendly and good was delicious (Po Boy Shrimp CAJUN and Po Boy Whiting). Definitely recommend 🩷
This is definitely our favorite spot for seafood in the Charlotte area! The food selection is great and we haven't been disappointed when we tried different items from the menu. The perfect spot to pick up dinner for seafood Friday-you won't be disappointed.
The fried shrimp was good. The gumbo is not gumbo. My boyfriend is a NOLA native We both agree this wasn’t it nor was it gumbo. The crackling is fire. The po boy needs more dressing up, but for Charlotte, it’s good. The dang snapper was rubbery and tough; not recommended. This is one of the seafood spots in Charlotte. Portions are enormous for the price. Customer service is terrific.
I had this order door dashed to a hotel so I cant comment on Atmosphere. It was delicious. Warning though....they give you ALOT of food. I was shocked at the amount of food and couldn't eat it all. It was all very tasty! I wish they had grits to go with the fish. And the food was still hot when it got delivered. I would definitely order from the again.
I’ve driven past this place many times. My coworker told me to try it out they have amazing food. Today i went and tried the catfish dinner with mac & cheese and baked beans as sides. To give perspective i rarely eat seafood, but this place… Chef’s kiss! Perfectly seasoned fish, creamy and cheesy Mac, and the warm southern beans… man! I definitely will be back
Great food at a great value! Fried okra and alligator bites were delicious but the soft shell crab was the definitely the best thing we had! Low country boil with a crab cluster and the catfish po boy were also good but we would have gotten multiples of the softshell crab had we known how good it was! Nice folks inside too.
The Restaurant/Fish Market was clean👏👏. The waiter was very friendly, cool guy. The fish should've been hotter since its Made to Order, the tartar sauce could use a new recipe. However, overall the seafood wasn't bad but definitely not the best that I've had. The bbq pork rinds was great👍and their Dirty Rice was surprisingly good too. Food came out pretty quick but this was a weekday after lunch time.
Being from Florida, I'm considered a "Country Girl". I love seeking out new places that give that southern country feel. Po Boy's does not disappoint. As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted by the staff. The menu is pretty cut and dry with tons of selections. Today I choose a Fried Swai Po Boy sandwich, with fries and a sweet tea. I decided to sit inside and enjoy my lunch. Let me tell you, the fish was so fresh and cooked to perfection. I haven't had a po boy this good since was last visit to BR. If your in the area and have a taste for fresh seafood do yourself a favor and stop in.
