Best ramen I've had in a long time! Edamame was perfect, mushroom gyoza was stupid good, salmon sushi was extremely fresh, beet salad with umeboshi dressing was bright and beautiful, duck buns were fantastic, and ramen was astounding! They have sake flights! With description cards for each sake! New favorite place in Charlotte!!!
Came for my Fiancé Birthday and the food was amazing. The pork belly buns are Great! The Pork Belly itself is outstanding. The Japanese Fried chicken, FIRE in a great way ! Definitely a must try. We will be back for sure !
Futo Buta is always a fantastic place to eat! It's small inside, but there's plenty of tables to eat at outside, if the weather is nice enough. Their band-inspired ramen shirts are so great, too 😆 Every single person who works there has a wonderful personality! It's a little pricey, but nothing far off from every ramen joint out there. They're all pricey to me when I can make my own authentic ramen at home! But, who wants to prep all that when someone else can for you?!
This place was awesome - delicious food, excellent service, and fun anime vibes. They were playing One Piece on the TV when we were there! Tons of outdoor seating and easy to park nearby. If you have a peanut allergy this place is safe to eat at. Cute merch too. Highly recommend!
Hidden gem! I ordered the vegan spicy ramen and added egg and tofu. It came to $24 but worth it! Delicious, flavorful, and the best ramen I have had in Charlotte! The broth and veggies were so fresh and flavorful. Portion size was very generous and a cool vibe inside. There is a noce outside area to eat as well. The only “issue” is finding it. You have to park in the parking garage and walk up to the light rail. Other than a little walk to get there, this place is AWESOME
Everyone thinks of ramen first when you say Futo, but I’m here for their sushi. The kampachi special was delicious and fresh. The salmon nigiri is also really nicely done.
I feel like it's become a bit of a Charlotte classic, and it's a vibe. I really do enjoy the atmosphere here, and the people are all cool.
It's been probably 6 years since the last time I've been here, and I've to Japan twice since then so I might be a bit spoiled... the ramen itself I think is good but a little short of great. Maybe used to be a bit better? Can't quite put my finger on it. Certainly wouldn't say it's bad.
Nice that they've got small plate izakaya-ish fare like karaage, some sushi, gyoza, crudo, etc.
It's worth a stop in. I have to hunt around some more to find the best ramen in the city.
Delicious food. The Ramen was just *chefs kiss* the rolls are exquisite as well. Easy access from the train. Definitely worth every penny I spent. Will definitely need to go back to try some more of their options.
I had high expectations for this place but it turned out to be an ok ramen place. The noodle soup was warm, not hot and the flavor was average, not amazingly good. I definitely have had better ramen in Charlotte.
Delicious food, fast service, small restaurant. Everything we ordered was recommended by our waitress and didn't disappoint! And it was lightening quick service. Buta bowl has a ton of flavor and is pretty spicy so get spice on the side if you're worried. Definitely two meals worth of food. The tuna for the rice crispy squares was really flavorful. Tori Kara Age was perfectly fried and the sauce wasn't too hot. Was my first time having Saki and we ordered the Mio which tasted very much like sparkling white wine. Only thing to consider before eating here is that the restaurant is small and they make very good use of the space so be ready for close quarters. We didn't mind and the food was 10/10 so we'll be back!
