Visiting from out of town and our Hotel recommended this restaurant for BBQ. Excellent food, friendly service, right in the heart of the Downtown area. Parking garage across the street.
Fabulous Bar & outdoor patio area. Dog friendly. Large portions of food and the Sunday we visited there was Live Music on the Patio.
We ordered the 1930 Cheesesteak w/Fries & the Carolina pork w/BBQ baked beans (YUM) and comes w/Hush puppies & pickles. Delicious
From the moment we walked in, all the staff were very friendly! We ordered the combo platter that consisted of 4 meats (the bbq ribs, the pulled pork, the brisket, & the sausage)! All 4 meats were delicious, you can decide between lean & fatty brisket or have both mixed! They offer an abundance of sides (baked beans, Mac & cheese, sweet potato fries, etc). I am normally not a fan of baked beans and their baked beans was so good! I have also tasted a lot of banana pudding throughout the south and the ones they make here are right on point! Highly recommend this place! 5/5 ⭐️!
I love the bacon wrapped jalapeños! They taste amazing and I’m a fan of the pork grilled cheese
We had the beef brisket burnt ends for the first time and they were delicious. Paired that with the mac n cheese, broccoli casserole, and collard greens and we had a winner! Not to mention just awesome service! Topped it all off with the pecan cobbler. Yum!!!
Good food and service. Absolutely love the corn bread. Tried the nachos and they were filling and good also. My family had wings and quarter chicken with sides.
I have really been overlooking this spot. Went here a few years ago and ordered the wings which were just ok. I'm not sure why that was all I ordered but we decided to go yesterday and I'm glad I did! I ordered the platter to try a little everything. I got the well fed portion instead of the pig out and man o man it was more than enough for me. There was a mix up with the side and they brought out collard greens instead of the broccoli casserole I ordered. I didn't realize until after I started eating the greens. They are a no-go for me. Too watery and hard for me but the waiter kindly replaced them for me. It was so much food that I had to take some home and I'm currently eating the leftovers as I type this lol. There is a TV in view anywhere you sit which is great for football. I will definitely be returning soon.
I have had many, many meals at this gem of a bbq place. The brisket is life changing!
The staff is consistently wonderful, the service is consistently fast (even during busy times) and the food is just unparalleled. Really. You can go nuts on the menu for about $35 (including dessert).
The burnt ends are another amazing entree. The collards are flavorful. The hush puppies are sweet. Try this place out if you like smoked meats, you’ll thank me!
I visited for lunch. I ordered a hamburger. The burger patty was juicy and delicious. The sauce on the hamburger was really delicious, and it was also delicious with the French fries.
I was welcomed by the lovely staff and sat at the bar. The bartender offered options as it was my first time. An overall great atmosphere. Moist brisket, delicious burnt ends and hush puppies, the cheese/jalapeno sausage was amazing and the stewed beans was a knockout. Definitely recommend if you are in the area!
Got the 4 protein combo platter which was great and plenty of food for 2! The Blood Mary's were on point as well. Def going back for more.
