Nice local establishment for the Chardon area. The wait staff is consistently good and the employees seem to remain without high turn over as a positive consequence most staff seem to be very invested and interested in the success of the restaurant.
The food was good, but nothing extremely creative. Ingredients are standard Mexican fair.
The light could be improved for sure and the parking lot isn’t ideal. They could use a decent vestibule at the main entrance which seems to jam people just inside the door then close to some tables. It does seem they are maximizing space to have as many people eat at once which is good for profits but makes all of the tables feel crowded like a cafeteria.
Although it’s good food, solid service, and value are worth returning.
I've been here 4 times: the food is good, the portions generous, and the staff kind and helpful. This is a nice local place.
The only draw back we've noticed each time was the smell coming from the floor drain in the bathrooms. It escaped and just reeks. It would be great if they can get that fixed.
Me and my husband have been going to El Patron for many years and have designated it as our "go to" for Mexican food. No matter how many places we try locally or even out of state, this place is always better. We've always enjoyed very good service, delicious food, and never had any issues with cleanliness. No place is perfect, however, I am 100% comfortable saying that this place has an excellent track record with us when it comes to all of the above.
You have to try their guacamole. Honestly, I have spent years trying to find a better guacamole and even tried replicating it myself, but theirs is just so good! It always tastes fresh, highly recommend it.
Very nice place for casual Mexican food dining. Loved the patio. A surprisingly large lunch special menu. My food came quickly and correct! Everything was well temp'd, both heat and spice. Friendly staff made this better.
03-21-2022. Best 8n restaurant meal we have had in long time. Great steak fajitas. The appetizer sampler was plentiful and tasty. The shredded beef taquitos are delicious. Very pleasant experience.
Nice clean place. Slightly difficult to get into the parking lot as it is on the corner. Food was plentiful and hot. Will definitely return. Waitress was very good, friendly, and service was fast.
The staff at El Patron was amazing. With understaffing problems those working were still quick,efficient and cheerful. Quick with chips and salsa,drinks and food.
The food was okay but a bit bland. Will try again in the future with different food options.
