Great sandwiches!
We got the World Famous Tri Tip w/o BBq sauce, and the Ham & Provalone on wheat,
Took them down to the beach and started our day off just right.
We will be back.
Great service. Great prices. Meat on sandwiches was very tender. Vegetables including avocado were very fresh. Rolls were soft. We'll be back!
The service was friendly. My friend and I drove to the area from Los Angeles and had a picnic on the beach with these Delicious 😋 🥪🥪🥪 I had pastrami on their freshly baked rolls and a vegetarian sandwich on rye & both were Super tasty! My friend had a turkey with actual carved turkey meat in it plus the other half of my vegetarian sandwich! Definitely worth it. I will have to try the tri tip.
The smell from the grill drew us in. Their tri-tip is very good, I love the sauce. I normally avoid anything labeled 'famous,' but this is good. The turkey club is good, with heaping portions of meat.
I've been working in Carpinteria for almost 32 years and have frequented Danny's Deli since 1989. I have never had a letdown on any sandwich they've ever made me. If you want a great sandwich you gotta check out Danny's Deli on Carpinteria Ave in Carpinteria CA. Thanks for the sandwiches Danny.
I love this place. As a vegetarian you wouldn't think to come here, but they have one of the BEST veggie deli sandwiches I've ever had!!! Sometimes deli's (especially who promote their meat sandwiches like Danny's) have simple/boring/low quality veggie sandwiches. Not this place! highly recommend (my partner who eats meat also loves the tri-tip).
The best sandwiches ever.... When I moved back in the area with my son & husband I pointed out the best places to eat, Danny's Deli for Tri-Tip sandwiches #1. The people making your sandwich make you feel like they know you personally.

After two really disappointing meals on vacation in SB, I talked my picky sister in law and husband to going here for lunch. So glad we did! The tri tip is perfection. They make it on site! Seriously tender, flavorful perfection. Next time I would order it plain. I think it is really good on it's own and doesn't need the extra trappings. Meat, bread, perfection. The salsa was really good though, as well as the macaroni salad. They had a lot of different drinks and chips to choose from as well which was really nice. Perfect little corner deli, I'm looking forward to trying the rest of the menu. :)
