In 2013, our good friend Julia Burke told me about a dive bar in Cheektowaga named Crabapples. That same year, they won ‘Best Beer Selection in WNY’ from Buffalo Spree. I literally had no idea this place existed. Like many people, I just assumed that Blue Monk was the clear winner and that most of the good beer bars in WNY were found in the city. But Julia definitely knows her beer and I took her word for it. Funny enough, less then a year later we moved to Cheektowaga. One of the first thoughts I had after we moved into our new house was “well, at least I can go to Crabapples now”. The outside of Crapapples doesn’t scream ‘beer paradise’. Driving down Genesee St., you’re likely to pass it by without a second thought. It really is a true neighborhood dive bar in the heart of Cheektovegas. Nice place to hang out with friends for a drink... they have seating at the bar, plus they have tables if you prefer that, plus 3 pool tables, darts, jukebox, friendly bartender (I'm guessing he's the owner), and a HUGE selection of beers.
If you're looking for a place with loud music, where you're shoulder to shoulder with everyone but yet can't hear what the person next to you is saying, then this is not the place for you. But if you're looking to chill with friends after a long day of work, then I'd strongly recommend checking out Crabapples! BTW, they do have music, and I like the fact that you can queue up your favorite songs, but the volume is perfect... loud enough to enjoy, but not so loud that you can't have a conversation.
Love this bar and I love the owner, he is amazing!! Best place to play pool and have some fun!!
Good atmosphere. Took a while at the bar for the bartenders to notice us for each drink. Will still be back
Taps galore! They have tons of microbrews! Huge selection on tap. The bar staff is very knowledgeable and can help you decide what beer you are looking for. They also have bottled beers, liquor, mixed drinks, and wine. There are dart boards, a pool table, juke box and friendly atmosphere! Highly recommend this place.

Please... find a way to utilize your kitchen.. This is a great gem, of a find, thanks to others who've enjoyed a mug or two poured from these🍻 taps.. !!!
The places has a weird smell but the bartender was very nice and the price of the drinks were good.
