I don't know if this place didn't live up to my expectations, or if it really did fall flat. The appetizers, while good, are very small. To be fair they are called small plates. But if you plan to get one or two appetizers to share for the table you'll quickly run short. It took 50 minutes between ordering and getting food, this was a Saturday at 7-8 PM so the place was busy. I had the `Green Curry` and it missed my expectations. The rest of my party thought their food was better. Maybe it was just my choice.
I want to give this place any and all benefits of the doubt that maybe it was just me, or just this time. After all I live downtown and can never get a seat or reservation. There must be something that other people see that I didn't this time.
PS - the lady with the pink glasses - She works too hard. I literally saw her ZOOOOMING around the place the whole time basically tending to everyone and everything she physically could. Impressive, but made me anxious.

Probably my favorite restaurant in all of Buffalo. A favorite period. Simply can't go wrong. The drinks accompany the food well and the food always hits.
Really cool place in the basement of a historic building in the downtown area. My party of four came here on a Saturday night and found free street parking nearby with ease. The service was good and the food was great!
Amazing, nice lil joint in the cut...u can cuff your shorty while inhaling dumplings and Ramen. Totally would recommend. Great bar and bartender..
We stumbled upon this place yesterday whilst out for a walk and decided to check it out.
The place is really cool being in a basement and the interior design is spot on.
Small windows lets you see into the small and humble brewery.
The staff was super friendly and quickly served us.
We didn't stay for that long, so only tried some of their beers, but didn't have the time to try the food.
The beers we had tasted really good and being a Belgian inspired brewery with a Japanese twist was spot on.
Really great, interesting craft beer choices. Pear Saison is bomb.. Much larger inside than from outside appearance. Had a wonderful experience. Will definitely be going back for more..
This is a great place to eat and visit. They have a great selection of house brewed beer and a Japanese infused menu. My husband and I ordered the ramen and gyoza off of the late night menu. Not only was the food and drinks great, but the atmosphere is as well. We love the mural, which displays different Japanese Beasts among a backdrop of downtown Buffalo scenes..very quirky!
