Sometimes it seems like you could eat all through the night in NYC, but if you're not in the right neighbourhood, or don't know where to go, it can be confusing. Heading home from a Broadway show, things were shutting down all around me at 10pm and 11pm, but I got back to my little rental apartment in Brooklyn, and found on Google that this place is open until something like 3am! The signage is great and says 'Clemens Tacos and Burritos' even though the listing here and on yelp has been updated. In any case, did I really need to eat such a big burrito at 11pm? No. But it was really delicious. Exactly the right combo of black beans and pork (though you can choose whatever you want) and rice and spice. I tried ordering a small one, but it was still huge. You can't get this kind of cheap, tasty, fresh Mexican and Latin American food in other parts of the world (or at least in Australia). You lucky New Yorkers!
Good Rotisserie Chicken. I had the rotisserie chicken and it was succulent and tasty. The outside of the bird was golden brown and just right and the inside was very moist and juicy. Wonderful stuff.
A very nice decor and a staff that was helpful as well made the experience a good one.
I had tea but I will tell you that the chicken would have gone a lot better if they served beer. I noticed on the way out that you can bring your own booze and that is something I will remember next time I am in the neighborhood and want a bite. Oh, to that end, it is a short couple of blocks from the train station.
Cafeteria style, basic presentation, hearty portions of good Mexican food. You feel like family when you stop by on a weekend afternoon. Even have authentic Mexican sodas (with real sugar) in the cooler!
Good food and I really loved the paintings and the Aztec vibe the restaurant has. Good prices.
Great atmosphere and nice staff. Food is good and reasonably priced.
