Awesome food great price. I actually went back here twice. The staff were nice. They spoke Spanish to me when I walked in, but upon my English reply they spoke English. I liked that because do you really want to get Spanish food from someone who is not Spanish ? It was cheap and great. I just get a little peeved when places charge you a convenience fee for using your credit card. I thought it was more convenient for them ! It's a thing now though. But, I'm not gonna let it ruin my dinner.
The waitress was nice and polite although she couldn't speak English properly. Language barrier didn't stop us as she successfully took our orders, and the meal was fantastic.
I will be visiting again when in New York
We quickly came in for a late takeout on Sunday evening. Took pork with potato and rice, it's little to say that the pork was majestic. And btw 2 meals (pork/rice and pork/potato) only 25 dollars. Recommend.

Very homey cozy place! Great lunch buffet, good food. You can sit at the bar, and order food + drinks, or, be at a table with table service with the food menu. Two of us enjoyed a nice friends afternoon here catching up.
Very good, healthy food, always super fast. I’m sitting with my food from their hot buffet within 60 seconds. And it’s healthy!
La Familia is amazing! Authentic Dominican food in Sunset Park! What a gem! I can't recommend them enough. Their food is delicious and incredibly affordable, and quick! Their customer service is also pretty good. Give them a try!

I randomly stumbled upon this restaurant when I had a small emergency and needed to charge a phone. They were kind enough to let me charge my phone, and then I ordered food. I was soooo impressed by the quality of the food! It was cooked perfectly! It wasn't greasy like I've experienced before with similar food. It had good flavor, and fresh garnish. If I lived in the area I would go hear all the time!! Highly recommend.
