I think it was overall okay. As a Malaysian, I do have high standards and can be critical for our food but I also recognise that it’s not easy to master all the great Malaysian food. The roti canai was what I would expect. The coconut rice from the nasi lemak was fragrant, the sambal was good (could be a little more spicy), the achar could come with a little more variety (aside from pineapples). The dry wanton noodles had good noodles but the sauce and the soup was a little lacking in richness of flavors, the wonton was much bigger than the size of what you would typically see in Malaysia.
First time here. Ordered pad thai with shrimp, naan, and a malaysian iced milk tea. Told the waiter to have less sugar for the ice tea but i guess he didn't pay attention and turned out to be one of the sweetest ice milk tea I've ever had in my life. The pad thai on the other hand was very authentic and naan was excellent.
Came here a few times and would keep coming. Food comes pretty fast and service is pretty good. I love their beef chow fun and sarang burung. I always order their lychee drink! Portions are pretty good, only complaint is that the seats and tables are kinda tight. It’s a pretty small restaurant.
Haven’t tried dining in but always get takeout from here multiple times. The Hainanese chicken with rice is always a classic choice that you can’t go wrong with, and the portion size is plenty. I like the papaya salad with shrimp here as well, and the sauce / dressing is excellent.
They lowered the amount of seats and put a barrier between tables for privacy/covid prevention, very considerate of them. Service is good. The food was delicious. Looking back at the pictures again makes my mouth watery
Solid spot that serves great dishes with great pride and service. The prices are very reasonable and I will most definitely be back. I appreciate the the divider tables with barriers and I feel it makes the space more comfortable than before. Do make reservations if you plan to come and do not want to wait. We ordered other dishes, but could not wait to eat. The roti canai, beef skewers, Hainanese chicken, curry chicken, nasi lemak should not be slept on!
Decent chicken rice, char kuay teoh was a miss, rather dry and flavorless. Pad Thai isn’t Malaysian so I found it strange to see it on a Malaysian menu.
It's a quaint little restaurant that's open till 8:45 PM and the food is really good. I always enjoy whatever dish I eat here. The Sarang Burong is different and delicious. You can eat it with or without rice. The mango papaya shrimp salad is good as well.
The cute traditional place.
Stir-fried pearl noodles is delicious unusual noodles with seafoods and chicken mixed)
Used to be a favorite before covid, still is. Right now with new dishes as well. Service is still as good and now with these semi-private booths
