This was a tiny little place in Brooklyn but the food was amazing! Hands down best tomato basil mozzarella sandwich I have ever had. We are vegan but I think this was better even than regular cheese! There isn’t much seating here but it wasn’t packed when we went so we could eat there. Got a vegan cannoli. Oh! My! Word! You can also buy Yeah Dawg vegan gluten free hot dogs in the freezer section. They were pretty good!
My favorite vegan spot hands down. They have amazinggggg sandwiches (The Greek is my favorite) and pastries too. The cinnamon bun is exquisite. They have a great selection fancy of vegan cheeses, meats, other vegan snacks, food, sauces & pantry items. The cheese used in the sandwiches tastes like real cheese. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. This place just hits the spot if you don’t eat dairy or want to cut down. Filling, healthy, cheesy, delicious. The place is small with limited seating so I suggest eating your deliciousness on the steps of nearby Brooklyn Museum or grab a bottle of twist off wine nearby and head with your sandwiches to Prospect Park for a little picnic. Or just devour on the spot. Great place to stock up on fancy cheeses and snacks if you're lactose intolerant and still want to have a wine & cheese night with friends or just craving a delicious sandwich or just coffee & a pastry.
Riverdel is my go to vegan place when I'm too lazy to cook. The selection of vegan cheese and vegan products is AMAZING and the staff is always FRIENDLY. LOVE their Mac&Cheese, Croissantwich and Impossible burgers (which my non-vegan husband loves) <3 My guilty pleasure is the Boston cream donut. Check it out you won't be disappointed
Small spot for some delicious sandwiches and vegan food items! We're visiting from NC and saw No evil foods brand being sold here which was neat! Lots of unqiue vegan provisions available. Would visit again!
Great place to find vegan everything, not just cheese. Books, crisps, burgers and the best brownie I've had, so rich and chocolatey! Totally recommend going for a quick bite. Also the ladies at the counter are super friendly.
Lovely little vegan shop that also has some space to eat in. I opted for the Impossible Cheeseburger and was not disappointed - the patty was cooked well and the condiments and bread fit perfectly - possibly the best burger I’ve eaten! Did not try the charcuterie board but the couple next to me did, and they gave it a lot of praise.
I just recently became vegan due to dietary restrictions from some health issues and I was so excited to find Riverdel! Everything is vegan and they have an amazing selection of vegan meat and dairy substitutes. The hardest thing about being vegan was not being able to eat cheese, and this makes it so much easier (do yourself a favor and try the mac n cheese)
They offer a wide range of products and an amazing breakfast/lunch menu! I didnt find the croissant to be a croissant, more like a soft bread. But the fillings were amazing
Not a lot os space with you want to eat in, but very tasty sandwiches (we had the Italian and the shalami), and a lot of options of dairy free cheese and meat-free meats. Very good!
Great variety of food and dessert. The Boston cream donut was unreal!!!! It was a dream come true. I would fly to new york now just to have it again! They sadly don't have it every day though. Also great breakfast sandwiches, loved the norwegian bagel. Carrot lox is the real deal.
