An oasis for food enthusiasts! This spot in Brooklyn offers an exceptional shopping experience. Fresh produce, an extensive array of organic fruits, and a mushroom collection that astounds. Their kitchen and bakery serve up delightful quick bites and pastries, including onion bread and bagels. The cheese selection is a cheese lover's dream with varieties from around the globe. The meat and fish departments excel, offering quality cuts and the freshest seafood. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee from their roastery invites you in, complemented by an impressive selection of teas. And don't miss the chance to unwind at their tables, savoring the ocean air and the stunning view of the Statue of Liberty and Manhattan skyline. This place is not just for shopping; it's a sanctuary to relish moments of tranquility in the midst of a bustling day.

This place is kind of amazing. Not only do they have some of the best deals on food in New York City – especially considering the price of eggs up in Harlem ($9). The best kept secret about this: they have a full solid bar and sandwich/sushi spot in the back of the store. Grab a sandwich and a drink and you can sit on their back patio with a gorgeous view of the water and you get a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty.

Huge selection of products, good sales, the store is huge and neat. I’m a couple of blocks away on Van Brunt so it’s great that I can walk there. The only thing I will suggest is a friendlier employee be placed at self checkout, there is one Hispanic women ( usually there afternoon, about in her 50’s) in particular who always seems like she’s in a bad mood! I am a big fan of good service, say hello & thank you, fake the smile if you must! ( I work for a well known bank at the client experience dept) customer service is key to any business! Overall I still recommend this supermarket.

One day, I'd love to live above you right on the water. I would feel like I have a gigantic refrigerator beneath me. Lol. Great sale prices here. Fabulous cheese selection and your meat department is well stocked

Updated review 6/2022: This is a FANTASTIC supermarket. Seriously, one of the best I’ve been to. Each department is top of the line and the selection is incredible. Cheese, deli, butcher, coffee/tea are the highlights. The cafe is also exceptional. In addition to the choices inside, Food Bazaar has added an outdoor barbecue stand for summer weekends (Fri-Sun) with an extensive menu. The food is all delicious and homemade. I have a few complaints, especially as compared to other Food Bazaars. First, the produce is not quite as good. It’s better than it used to be but could be fresher. I’m not a fan of the prepackaged seafood, although it’s not too bad because it is all packed on-site fresh. But the biggest problem is the checkout line. This is the only Food Bazaar I’ve ever seen with a single line instead of having people line up normally at the registers. It completely jams up the aisle that people line up in. That needs to be removed and I’ve never seen it in any other Food Bazaar. It makes shopping in that aisle impossible, and lining up impossible too (you have to go all the way to the end of the single line, then turn around and get in line). It flows very poorly. One other area of improvement: staff. For the most part, the staff is excellent, but you can tell some of the older staff left over from Fairway is not up to the same standards as Food Bazaar’s own staff. The staff at the Elizabeth Food Bazaar is amazing, and that store’s management team could perhaps teach this store’s staff a thing or two. But complaints aside, it’s an incredible supermarket and a wonderful asset for Red Hook and this part of Brooklyn. Worth a stop if you’re in the area for any reason!

Great deals and it has a nice sized parking lot. There are bathrooms and it is handicap accessible. The staff has always been kind and very helpful.

The market itself is pretty nice and expansive but it's lacking in variety of non-European/American foods compared to other Food Bazaar's especially in Queens. It does have a better beer selection though. I honestly came for the BBQ, which has changed a bit since the last reviews and pictures. BBQ is only 2pm-5pm Fri-Sat-Sun and there's just baby back ribs and burgers and hot dogs. I had low expecations seeing as this is a supermarket, and the ribs are just pretty typical fare, they will get the job done if you're not looking to spend a lot at hometown next door. It comes with corn and cole slaw and a pickle half as sides. I wish they'd bring back other stuff just to try but seeing as I was the only one eating the ribs, easy to guess why they cut the menu so short.

Wonderful supermarket with loads of selections. Coffee, ground to order. Fresh meat and fish. Free parking. Food Bazaar has it all. Formerly this was FairWay. This will always be my go to supermarket. It’s located in Red Hook, right on the water. Wonderful store!
